KAY Jewelers — Local services in Cranberry Township

Not a great way to take market share Kays.

I have purchased many things through Kay’s over the past 10 years. Including loyal family members using them as well.

I purchased a watch through Jared jewelers after I was told by Kay that they were the same owner(Kay was unable to get the specific watch in time so they referred me to Jared).

I purchased the watch, and took it into Kay’s to get it sized. I purchased it for my wife as a gift. So Jared told me, “have her take it into a Jared or Kay jewelers, we are both owned by the same company and either one of us will resize it for free”.

So I sent my wife in to get her new watch resized. The lady at the counter said no problem, we are the same company. She said “we only ask for a small donation to St Jude hospital. “. What an awesome company we thought.

The lady gets done taking a half link out, and tells us, just a small donation. The manager then looks up and says “No way, That’s a watch resizing, that’s $37!”

Needless to say, we paid it. They already had the watch completed, and then told us they would charge us. Without being said, I will no longer shop at Jared or Kay’s. Stay away from this Kay Jeweler. The rude, non customer focused manager needs to understand, you may of got my $40 today, but you will not get any of my business tomorrow.

My advice to you, train your employees. Don’t let them say they will do it for free, and then pull the rug out when you get the work done. Profits matter, but I will now be working to return the protection plan on my wife’s $2200 necklace that I just purchased from Kay jewelers a few months ago.

My bf (now fiancé) went into this location to buy my engagement and wedding ring. Melissa M. assisted him, and he had so many nice things to say about her and how she assisted him. He's huge on customer service, and he could not stop talking about how well she treated him and how patient she was with him and answered all of his questions. He was so happy and thankful that Marissa made this stressful, huge purchase that much less stressful for him. The ring and band he bought is so beautiful and I couldn't be happier with it!!! We love Kay and buy all of our jewelry at Kay, and they always have amazing sales. The ring is beautiful, and Marissa got him the perfect size for me based on a ring I got tricked into putting on months ago that was bigger than what Marissa suggested, and it fits perfectly! I can get it resized and engraved for free with the protection plan my fiancé bought. I can't wait to get it engraved, and the free inspection/cleaning they offer if their protection plan is also amazing! The plan he added will replace any stones that fall out or become damaged in any way. I can't wait to get it engraved with something amazing...

I share this review with you all. After a very bad experience with a different Kay’s store in the past I was hesitant to give them any business. My husband got me a beautiful ring from the Cramberry township Kay’s, unfortunately they were heart shaped stones and did not hold up with daily wear and broke twice in about 3 month. When I took it back for repair the first time the manager (thankfully not there anymore) was very cocky and unhelpful with my situation but did agree to have my ring fixed. I had it back one week and the stone fell out again. So upon second time breaking, I called corporate and was transferred to manager Matthew at cranberry store to resolve my problem. He chose to completely return my ring for full refund and together we built a ring that far exceeds what I expected and I can wear daily! I can’t wait to have it in a few weeks. Will return back to this location and thank you Matthew for all your help and going above and beyond to make this...
