Hi! I did not catch her name on the phone, but it sounded like a slightly older lady, but I had called about returning a extremely faulty comforter; the inner foam had all been clumped together, there was a hole in it, and it was stained with a black mark. I told her I had thrown the bag away that it came with immediately (that was my mistake but I assumed the comforter would be usable), and was asking if I could return it without having the original bag. The woman remarked with, "well how did you lose the bag, it has been a day, they haven't taken the trash out yet, that doesn't make sense", By the way, i live in an apartment complex where you take your trash out as you go in a public dumpster. Anyway, she told me she would 'let it slide this one time'. Luckily, when I returned it, a younger nicer lady took care of it with no questions asked which is why I give it two stars. When I arrived at the store it was cleared that the item was damaged. More than one screw was missing, the top of the table was clearly not attached. Why would the sales associate not make that clear over the phone. I advised that I would not be interested in making the purchase and the sales associate went to get the manager who came over and acted like I damaged the table and how dare I want a discount..I didnt ask for one, his sales associate made the suggestion and he stood there like the Queen and looking at me me like I was Megan..terrible experience and I am a senior citizen..HomeGoods in Robinson and McCandless are exceptional...
Read moreYou can expect to find at least one sale or item hear that you are happy with. The problem I found with this store is if you buy furniture, they provide nothing to wrap it with. Depending on what time you buy the furniture there may not be someone there to take it apart. If you pick up your furniture in the early evening there is not a man in the store to help you load it. We were left on our own to load a very heavy bed. In conclusion I would rate the service department poorly. The stuff made you feel as though they were too busy to give you too much attention.
