Treasure Hunt — Attraction in Cranberry Township

Wow, what a terrific team member they have in Marcy! I called the store, asking a LOT of questions. Not only did Marcy not make me feel bad for taking up her time, she still encouraged me to come in so she could look at a diamond ring I was given, knowing that I told her I had no intention to sell it. I just wanted to know if the diamonds were real. She said she'd be happy to look for me, no obligation or charge. She was so kind, that I went through my jewelry box to look for anything that might have value so she could tell me what it was worth. Long story short...I ended up selling her $712 worth of jewelry I wasn't wearing. I had no idea I could get so much for that old stuff! I was thrilled! It was a fun time and Marcy couldn't be kinder. This was a waste of time and down right insulting. I had over 2.5 Troy Oz of gold and rings with diamonds. When I was told the offer I was shocked. She offered me only $1000 for almost $3,200 worth of gold. I also asked about 3 rings with diamonds and was told that they have no value. I also had a couple of old Standing Liberty Half dollars in very good condition and was told they have no value except for their silver content. I’ve been collecting coins for over 30 years... I felt talked down to and honestly don’t do business with this company... I brought the same jewelry and coins to a local jeweler and was offered almost $8,200 for the gold and diamonds they said where worthless ... Really don’t like writing reviews but this place and staff really know how not to treat...

My husband and I were recently looking around town in order to get the best estimate for my diamond engagement ring. I was apprehensive to go to Treasure Hunt to begin with but I went there anyway just to see what they said. The man working there barely looked us in the eye upon walking in, and after taking a 0.5 second glance at my ring, the only word he said was "$400". Now, this is a diamond ring that has been appraised at over $5,000....400?!$ I also understand places like this need to buy cheap to make a profit ....but 400$ ... Come on...really?!
