We were told to leave a good review during orientation in order to get a phone case and other goodies. Now that I have been a student here for over a year, I can see why we were bribed to leave a good review. This school in my experience goes through staff that includes Professors and Administrators very quick. The turnover is very high and nothing I have ever seen before. I have seen 2 Professors cry in the hallway. If I could do this again, I would ask how long each professor has been with Arizona and their background. I would have then noticed something wasn't adding up. We have had 2 different Deans of Nursing in one year and it feels as they are simply playing catch up with the students as they dont know what program we are using, and then roll out a new program with instructions over an email on how to navigate almost 6 months later. In the meantime, I dont know where my classes are as Canvas shows one thing and another document shows another. This semester 6, we have had substitute teachers fill in as there aren't enough professors and many students go to the wrong clinical sites as all of the clinical sites are being sent to everyone vs groups and is creating so much confusion. I emailed a professor about my clinical site and she informed me she would escalate to the assistant dean over email and I saw she was CC on the email. I never got a response back. Only until after I show up to my Clinical site and she then informs me quickly that I am not supposed to be there. Due dates are completely wrong and we were told there was nothing they could do about it until next semester. To make things worse, half of the wonderful mannequins they show you dont work and there is not enough supplies to go around for the students. This is making us fall behind on check offs and the majority of the students grades have dropped significantly due to the lack of communication and organizational skills at this location. 3 of my friends already transferred out to West Coast. Ask questions when you do the tour or ask me and I can provide you with up to date information. If they have fixed the issues or are still being ignored, I will be honest as I wish they are fixed soon, but I am not holding my breath as I have had multiple one on one meetings with the Dean and President and I can't get anywhere with...
Read moreI am currently a core student. I do see the positive reviews however they are from either potential students who did the tour and worked with advisors, or Gen Ed students. Let me just say, that this semester has been a rollercoaster. First the lack of teachers. The turnover rate with faculty is very high at this campus and I don’t know why. However I do notice that it has been GREAT instructors who leave. Semester 6 has been very challenging . It is very difficult to retain information. You go into lecture and you speak on certain issues you’re having and instead of helping sometimes teachers become defensive. The dean does try however it’s only so much she can do. Some students are failing due to the lack of support from faculty. It’s very disorganized and none of the instructors seem to be on the same page AT ALL. Secondly building maintenence issues and car break ins. The campus is located in north Dallas so I will let that speak for itself. It seems that only our cars were being broken into and no other cars since it’s sever all offices in addition to the school This program is VERY expensive. So the concerns addressed are very valid. We have a sim lab that does not provide enough supplies for simulations and mannequins hardly work. My suggestion would be to listen to those of us in core if you want an honest opinion regarding . PARTICULARLY this campus. Other campuses are thriving and very identical to that of WCU in relation to the resources along with support from the faculty. Almost 4 students in my cohort have transferred to WCU. I saw a comment before mine state that this is one of the worst programs to enter into. If we are being honest that’s a bit embarrassing. I wish everyone the best in their journey but please do research prior to entering any program. To have these kinds of issues PLUS deal with the stress of nursing school is very difficult BUT we do make it work. We just simply have to teach ourselves...

Its awful. The turnover rate in this place is impossibly high and its always the good professors that leave ive seen multiple professors come and go over my time here not to mention the cost of attendance is stupid levels of high im talking one semester here costs more (22-30k) than a full 150 credit hour course at another college i will be tranfering to (15-20k) i know this is a "private school" but it feels more like very well disgued poorly operated operation to squeeze you dry of money weve Also changed deans of nursing twice already and it feels like management is iust playing the worst game of catch up in their lives
This place is trying its hardest to be professional but they have shown none of that
And dont get me started on our depressing lack of equipment too half my checkoffs i had to pretend because we didn't have to equipment to do said skills and the lack of instructors make it so much worse because its 1 maybe 2 professors if youre lucky for 20+ students and thats just silly multiple people had to make up check offs simply because there weren't enough instructors to do said check offs if i could rate this place 0 stars i would its actually depressing dont be fooled by their tours and what they tell you during application because out of all the things i was told i found out way too late that half of them weren't true
Now one good note is some of the professors are wonderful though as it stands at the time of writing this all the good professors i know will stop teaching at this school
Please please please do yourself a favor and dont go here its so poorly managed its sad and not worth the money!! I have seen community colleges with better equipment...
