A buddy and I stopped in on a June summer Friday night at about midnight. We had been out, to another spot earlier that evening, for dinner and drinks. We met a handful of pretty girls, and they said they were all leaving for someplace else(Harwood Arm), and invited us to hop along with them. Although,we appreciated the invite & gesture, we drove our own vehicle, and met them here at Harwood Arms. I stay a few blocks away to the SW, in Victory Park, so I am familiar with this establishment, but this would be my first visit. I had been by many, many times while driving, walking, jogging the area.
Cool, cozy British Pub with plenty of space, and roomy enough to handle the HUGE crowd that was already inside. Out front there is a very, large outdoor patio area with various seating. The inside can be described as a library looking pub, with large private, ornate looking booths, and tables The entire bar was a PACKED full house, in every single corner of the bar. Although they had such a large, large crowd... it didn't seem that difficult navigating about to and fro. I do not remember a long bathroom line. Unfortunately, I cannot report on the fare, as I wasn't there long enough to order and eat.(way too hot and sweaty in there). This was a very, very packed full house, so it was extremely hot inside. After 5 or 10 minutes my entire body was dripping with sweat. I sat down in an empty, available booth, to try and cool off a bit. We eventually walked around the bar, checking out the talent, and rated the Harwood Arm's 'pick-up score'.
Bottom Line: Great British Pub bar scene with a legion of decent girls, out for a good time. It has a chill vibe, is relatively clean, and seems like a very easy place to hook a late-night overnight houseguest/bedsharing colleague. I definitely recommend!
pas=6
This particular 'pick-up scale' [pas] value of 6 pretty much guarantees getting multiple digits or SM connects thrown at you. Although the opportunity to score is there and plentiful, potential suitors still have to elevate their game, and put in the work. A seasoned PUA will filter through the low value masses quickly, and engage his target succinctly and...
Read moreA disappointing experience. Came here for the "full English breakfast" but a full English it is not. No hash browns, no blood sausage, no grilled tomato, and the "tomato beans" are just regular ol' pinto beans -- no tomato sauce. It's basically a Denny's grand slam, but with grilled mushrooms and pinto beans instead of hash browns and a pancake.
I don't know what's worse: calling this a full English, or pricing it at $20. They should call it "half of a full English" and price it accordingly.
Or alternatively, they should drive to the grocery store and buy some hash browns, tomatoes, tomato beans, and blood sausage. I know for a fact that all of these groceries can be found in DFW. Is management just lazy?
Also, the gentleman who seated us (the manager?) didn't inform the hostess nor the server we were there, so we sat at our table for fifteen minutes without anyone coming to take our order. Finally I walked over to the hostess and asked her to please inform the server that someone was seated at our table. The server came immediately and was very apologetic that our table had been overlooked -- indeed, nobody had informed her about us. Poor management.
Edit: updated my review from two stars to one star, after Harwood replied to my review asking for me to email them, and I emailed them, and then they never replied to my...

I was so looking forward to a traditional roast dinner at this place. As a Brit living in Dallas it is super hard to find traditional food here. I have my mother visiting and I could not wait to have a Sunday roast with her.
As per the website, online menu and physical menu given... I went for the 4pm Sunday roast. Was there a Sunday roast? Absolutely not. Our waitress told us it was 'sold out'. Come to find out from the manager that it was actually not even being served on this specific Sunday.
Maybe it was just bad luck? 👎 well, we had to pick a different meal. And my mother and I chose to order from the holiday menu, beef wellington. Sadly that was also sold out.
We then decide to get fish and chips. The food came and we were literally served chips, as in potato chips. Not traditional pub chips. I asked for a side of mayonnaise, they also did not have that. I asked for a side of gravy, nope, did not have that. I had to order a side of fries because potato chips just wouldn't cut it for me.
Now I'm left so damn hungry for food on a Sunday evening. Honestly, I was so looking forward to enjoying my time here but it was awful. The atmosphere was beautiful but everything fell flat. Sadly, I will not be...
