Stopped by around 2 weeks ago based on a recommendation from a friend and was met with a very curt and unpleasant cashier from the beginning.
My latte was fine but the empanada I ordered was still frozen after they heated it up. I went to the cash register to tell them the empanada I bit into was literally rock hard, frozen in the middle - the same cashier said âK, we can warm it againâ and rolled her eyes. The second person working âwarmedâ it up again and gave it back to me. The middle of the empanada was STILL cold/partially frozen after they âwarmedâ it up againâŚ.due to the attitude and inability to reheat it, I didnât even bother telling them that it was still partially frozen and enjoyed my latte while sitting down. Aside from the noise of the train, the atmosphere is a decent place to sit down and work.
EDIT FOR THE OWNER:
I received an empanada that was cold in the middle and hard to touch, which led me to believe it was previously frozen. Iâm assuming your âfreshâ products are delivered refrigerated and then stored in a fridge, which may sometimes be set to a very low temperature. That could cause parts of a food item to feel as if they were recently frozen.
Responding to a customer as if theyâre not being honest, and then inviting them to come in again, does...
Read moreIâve tried a lot of coffee shops in Dallas, and this is on the top of the list for sure. I was there from 8-10am on a Sunday and it never got very crowded which was nice. A good amount of seating for a downtown location and finding a spot to sit was not an issue. Loved all of the natural light and big windows!
The coffee was SO GOOD like truly perfect. I got a hot Trinity latte (honey, vanilla, cinnamon) half sweet with almond milk. The flavors were perfectly blended together, with the coffee still being at the forefront of the flavor profile. The almond milk was sooo silky smooth and it had a perfect mouthfeel. I almost ordered a second it was that good.
I couldnât find street parking nearby, but thereâs a parking garage right behind the coffee shop that is $1/hour. There was plenty of retail parking there so it was not an issue. I had my headphones in most of the time, but there is some loud noise from the parking garage in the coffee shop. It didnât bother me at all, but bring headphones if you donât want to hear it.
Will definitely be back here for immaculate vibes and...
Read moreBest drip coffee in Dallas! This new Victory Park location is going to be great for getting quality coffee before a Stars or Mavs game depending on the game start time. On my visit I tried the Turkish coffee which was expertly prepared and presented with a fancy vessel and cups. If you know about Turkish coffee then you'll know the shape of the brewing vessel is vital to it's preparation. Pax & Beneficia builds on this with matching cups that even have little lids. Sometimes the details matter and Pax & Beneficia know that and gets them right! I'm nor sure if cardamom is a staple of Turkish coffee, but Pax & Beneficia adds it. Delish. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to purchase a bag of whole bean "Ireme" which I have concluded is the best whole bean coffee for drip coffee that exists (I do make it my mission to find a better bean, so far I am only validating my conclusion). Good luck to Pax & Beneficia at their new location and thank you to the employee that took care of my group on Black...
