Update September 10, 2025: I reached out to the provider email and website and no one reached back to me to resolve the issue. Now all I get is a call from a debt collector in response to NDDA as they didn’t try to resolve my issue with insurance or any communication.
Update: March 9, 2024: Accounting department saw my review and called me and started yelling saying “everything I said was not true”. I couldn’t even get a word in I tried to ask do you keep recording voice calls to prove to them i wasn’t lying and they said no all they keeps is notes of you owing money. I barely got a few sentence in and are you done yet and she hung up on me. That’s terrible customer service in my experience. What happen to patient first and listening? Either way the money that I supposedly owe now went to debt collectors because they want to stop dealing with me after I tried so many times to negotiate or work something out. This company is a pain with it comes to billing and communication. Treatment is great just needs to hire new staff in accounting department and communicate better
Reposting since they removed my review:
Update from today 11/6/23: lady call me about the review and starts trying to through information in my ear without even listening to what I have to say. Poor customer service overall. If you going to call are you not wanting to resolve the issue? Why start raising your voice at me and not even listening to what I’m saying.
This review is in regards to billing and the disorganization.
In regards to my provider and tech. I give them a 5 stars.
Initially, it started in 2022. I visited the doctor and consulted everything. We then started light therapy treatment. I would be doing light therapy treatment 3x a week. During the first treatment or so I paid $25 as a cash value rather than going through insurance because they said they would give me a discount. Moving forward I had multiple treatments and multiple weeks going forward they would then start billing to my INSURANCE without me knowing. So I was confused. I never knew the actual price of light therapy however just ran the $25 to my insurance so I would pay that each visit.
However, them not telling the actual light therapy price and then running the light therapy price through my insurance changing the $25 to $82 was what confused me. So I didn’t know what I was paying. I would just continue to pay $15 every light therapy session because they told $25 and the insurance ran $25. No one communicated to me that they were charging $82 to my insurance and that my price was different. This would me make me pay $22 instead rather than $15. The problem of not communicating to me and being upfront on the price change and the billing to my insurance is what upsets me. I’m currently receiving statements that say I owe money due to the difference. I called the billing office and spoke with the head billing person as well. Her name was Nichole Stark. She ran me an itemized bill and I explained to her about the whole situation. It’s like she completely disregarded anything. All she could say is our apologies.
No billing person had empathy and it was just exhausting. Yea I get it you have your work to handle. You get every complaint as well. You wouldn’t get complaints if you did better organization, communication, and billing. It’s not that hard. I work in healthcare myself. I don’t plan on speaking to Nichole Stark or chatting with her. I don’t think I can handle a conversation with the billing department itself. Like even during a phone call with Nichole Stark I asked if there’s any workaround with the statement or anything and then I got mad when she said no others because when I got mad she then had the audacity to say she up my statement. What sense does that make.
I even called today to reach the billing department to see if I can get things resolved but they put me on hold and just left me there for so...
Read moreIf I could independently review my laser technician, I would give her 5 stars. Everything else, zero.
In short, I paid for 2 separate consultations and was billed for a third all in order to be treated ONCE, because this office so so so disorganized. I never received a response to my email, even after I was told on the phone to reach out there. Instead, because I refused to pay for a third consultation for the same concern (after purchasing a 1500 treatment), it appears they sent my whopping 160 fee to collections. I wish I could go back because I think their treatments are effective, but this whole process was absurd. Bellow, I’m copy and pasting the details as outlined in an email I sent to their billing department on January 12th. I never received a response:
“I'm writing to address a recent bill from your clinic, but to do so I need to provide you with a brief overview of my experience in the Dallas office to date.
I booked my first appointment by going online and asking to see someone regarding my acne scars. Once I arrived, I was told the Drs who provide consultations for acne scar revisions were not in office that day. Despite this clearly being an administrative error on their part, I was still charged for my visit, but I was encouraged to come back by your before and after images, and brushed it aside to make another appointment.
The second time I came in, there was a specialist there to assess my skin, and she recommended a TCA cross treatment. I then paid for my second office visit.
I did go ahead and book an appointment for TCA cross, but when I arrived for my procedure, I was met with confusion. No one seemed to know why I was there and finally I was told that my previous Dr was no longer working in your clinic.
I did go ahead and take the advice of the Dr who was there, and received a laser treatment that same day. After my treatment I was encouraged to purchase a product that contained fragrance even though I had stated my fragrance allergy on multiple occasions at the practice, this made for a lot of irritation until I realized what had happed. I was then billed for what would be my 3rd consultation at your practice in the process of trying to receive treatment.
I really liked my tech and did see some results, but being charged now for a 3rd consultation after such a chaotic and confusing experience at your clinic seems really inappropriate. Please let me know if there is any more information I can provide, but I do disagree with this charge and wanted to see what...
Read moreThe Doctor during the appointment was very professional, polite and seemed very knowledgeable of her field. However, she gave me 2 face washes, 2 creams and prescribed me 2 more creams and another face wash without giving me written instructions. She did go over everything with me during the visit but I'm unsure how I was expected to remember to use each one and how to layer them on my skin? When I reached out to the office they mentioned that there was no notes on her giving me any creams or washes other then the prescriptions. I ended up having bad reactions to one of the creams and when I asked if there was another cream or if I could have a procedure done instead, I was told it was recommended that I see my PCP due to the described reactions being uncommon. I was also told that that particular medication has been used for multiple patients of hers and all were successful with no reactions as I described. This isn't something you should tell a patient or anyone. There is a reason there are so many medications, some work for people and some don't. After being told this I mentioned that in the prescription pamphlet it lists the reactions I'm having under the adverse side effects. I asked if there wasn't another cream, if I could have cryotherapy? She agreed to performing the procedure. A day or so later I also asked a few additional questions but was told in order to answer them that I'd need to setup another appointment to go over them face to face and the procedure. As I mentioned before the appointment itself went well, but everything after was terrible. I had to leave a voice-mail for the assistant 5 times and each time it took 3-4 days to receive a call back. After speaking with the assistant the last time, I told her that the Dr. made it seem as if she didn't want to treat me originally, which she denied and said the Dr did suggest cryotherapy. She cut me off several times when I was trying to tell her what she failed to mention. That I had to tell them that my reactions were listed in the medication itself and that after research I found cryotherapy is a good option. Since originally I was told I needed to see my Primary Care Physician due to my uncommon side effects. I chose this place because it has amazing reviews online and out of convenience. However, after this experience I don't see...
