The Hill — Local services in Dallas

One of my favorite places to visit. Not because it’s the best food and shopping necessarily, but because I just love the courtyard out back. The well shaded area has so much going for it. From the turf (yay for no bugs and dirt!) to the fun fountain and fire pit. There used to be giant Jenga and corn hole—not sure what happened to those but they sure were missed this last visit. This I’d a great spot for any age, but families can especially enjoy it. Good food options (like Snooze) and cool places to visit like CAMP (a blast and just go for all families). We really love it here. I’d like to try more restaurants—like Cafe Verona that appears recently opened. I love the colorful blocks they chose to paint the outside of their building lending to the ambience of the courtyard. On a warm day, it’s fun to get a popsicle at the popsicle shop off the yard. We love snooze for breakfast or lunch. Even more, we love that Houndstooth is just around the corner from the yard. So much in walking distance. I just can’t say enough about one of my...

Apparently there's been a recent spate of smash and grab incidents in the parking lot, i.e. this morning. Caveat emptor.

"The police were very prompt and a report was filed. The restaurant manager was empathetic and pointed me to the office of on-premises management. I updated the property manager regarding what had occurred. She immediately distanced herself from the problem explaining shoppers park at their own risk and management assumes no responsibility. I only wanted to know if security cameras were available to assist police in finding the criminal? She responded no security cameras are installed. I asked, “Why not?” She responded, “We haven’t gotten around to them because we are still leasing up.” To my surprise she commented that three cases of smash and grab had already been reported to her...
