Had an incredible experience at snooze!! Everything was great. From the food to the service. My wife and I were greeted and sat quickly. We had Abby as our waitress and was her first day on the job. She did a really good and made our breakfast experience delightful. We had staff come and compliment my wife on her purple hair which was very flattering and genuine. My ordered the ooo la la frittata which she loved and would definitely order again. I had the benny duo with the Los and latkes and the steak benny. Both bennys were delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The smoked salmon was on point and both accompaniments complimented the proteins. Not to mention both eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise wasn't overly fatty, which can get that way with too much butter. The spicy bloody Mary's we also ordered were very good but we like ours a little more spicy so we just added a little Tabasco but the bloody mary mix was very good and not too heavy like some can be. Also you have to get the choice mimosas all were very refreshing and could tell that everything was fresh. We had the apple, grapefruit and lemonade. I don't think you can go wrong with any one they had there. Leslie the manager came by and sat and talked with us a for a bit and was checking on everything introduced us to the pancakes which now I know why she said they are known for. So my wife and I shared a chocolate chip pancake. Needless to say we probably could have ordered a dozen more! They were so fluffy and light! They were just so yummy! I cant give enough praises to the staff and kitchen for making our little get away date such a memorable experience. I know for some its just a breakfast spot to eat but for us it really made our day. We could've spent all day there eating and drinking but people frown upon not picking up your kids from school. Again thank you so much Abby and Leslie and the kind warm staff you have on hand. It really makes the place feel like you your pancakes. Warm and fluffy!! Best...
Read moreSnooze Dallas is located in a place that you might easily miss if you didn't know it was there, that is why reviews like this one are so very important - because you do NOT want to miss it. This started as the place that I would get to come to after a Doctors appointment because it is off Walnut Hill Lane across from Presby Dallas and I live wayy on the other side of town... but now I have started sneaking that 30 minute drive just for the food and atmosphere because it just feels like a little mini vacation being here, and the food is that good.
It starts with the vibe when you walk in the door. The modern retro decor. Yes, I said "modern retro". You'll know it when you see it - it's just cool. Then they have these center circular booths that have clear plexi glass seperator walls that allow light to shine all the way to the back of the restaraunt, yet keep patrons Covid socially distant. Brilliant.
Then you sit down and order a Lav-ra-ca-dab-ra, aka a Lavender Mimosa if you wish, or any kind of other Mimosa or breakfast cocktail, or regular drink - your choice of course. I have a few Mimosas ;) Here are a few pictures of the meals we had the last time we were there - the Blueberry Danish Pancakes, the Breakfast Pot Pie and lastly the Sandwich I Am. They are all amazing. We try to get something different each time we come, but it's hard because we always love the thing we had last time. The staff are always so nice - it's just a great experience. Definitely put this place...
Read moreThis was a great experience for me. I was reunited with a friend I hadn't seen in over a decade and then some. The menu alone had me overstimulated in the right way because there were so many dishes that sounded like they were disarming and undressing my palate as I read them. Mind you it was still a weekday morning but Snooze was doing something to me. Huevos Rancheros is one of my all time faves when it is done right and I had confidence Snooze would not disappoint. I went through it like there was a reward waiting for me at then. Satisfaction. Then wouldn't you know it, I was treated to a couple of secret menu samples that were not what I would call sample portions and I went into full glutton mode, ignoring my obvious overindulgence pronounced by the expanding round belly making my t-shirt tight in all the wrong places. After the kitchen put together a pineapple upside down pancake with some additional accompaniments that almost caused me to drool as my taste buds got lit the person that I went there with couldn't finish their blueberry danish pancake. I knew that pancake did not want to see the kitchen ever again so I added it to its buddies taking blissful shelter in my swelling belly. I left the place slow in stride and labored in breath knowing I had found one of those special places you visit every so often because you want that same experience as the first time. The service was such that I went in for breakfast and came out with an experience...
