I loved this place for years, but unfortunately at this location in particular, the service and quality of treatment have declined drastically probably due to new staff.
I came in for a hydrafacial and specifically wanted the hydrafacial to be done with dermaplaning. I made sure with them two weeks before hand that we would not have any issues with timing or otherwise for dermaplaning because I feel that the hydrafacial is not as effective without it.
Upon arrival it was confirmed that I would be having the dermaplaning done as well as an add on lip treatment.
The esthetician completed the hydrafacial and told me I was done and when I inquired with her about my dermaplaning and lip treatment, she told me that she didn't see that there was dermaplaning on the schedule and could no longer do it since the dermaplaning had to be done before the hydrafacial.
The lip treatment she gave me which was a 15 dollar add on, was basically a cotton swab with a lip plumping gloss that she just applied (I have had this service done before and I can assure you it was just more than a lip gloss application).
While the esthetician is very new and mistakes do happen, I think the way it was handled by management was what was most disappointing. They offered me a 20% discount on the facial (that I did not feel was effective and was not what I wanted) when 20% is basically what I would've gotten had I rejoined their membership (which I was originally going to do that visit).
When I talked to management and let her know that I had an expired 89 dollar credit, after a lot of reluctance, she finally agreed to add $30 dollars to my discount to make it 89 dollars off the original price. They already got 89 dollars from me, even if expired, so in total I paid 250 dollars for a facial and my face looks the same.
Don't go here, maybe try the other location, I haven't been in a while, but I have never had a...
Read moreI have been here before for a prenatal massage and I absolutely loved it. The environment is so common and welcoming. They also have a really great tea that I have become a really big fan of. My second appointment I went in for a Botox consult and that went great. We got me scheduled, and I came back later for the appointment. We made it halfway through the Botox appointment and we had gotten done with the Forehead portion, and the lady asked if I would like a break and I said that I was doing good and then all of a sudden the lights went out. That was not their fault at all as somebody hit a transformer, and the power went out for the entire block. I jokingly responded that I guess that that decided that we were getting a break lol. We got our way through it though. It was easily the most entertaining spa experience I’ve ever had and honestly it made me want to go back even more because of how funny and entertaining the situation was. We did some problem-solving and were able to finish the appointment. Another employee helped hold some flashlights to help so we could see where we needed to do the injections. Everybody did a great job and were extremely apologetic about the situation, but it wasn’t something that bothered me at all and their ability to problem solve and figure out how we could finish the session was great. I love the employees and the environment, and the care and service was wonderful. I will definitely be going...
Read moreI had previously recommended this place to people, but after my most recent experience here, I'm taking that back. Sometimes I disagree with 1 star reviews at establishments, but listen to the bad reviews here, trust me.
I had booked myself a massage for a Sunday morning several weeks in advance. Less than a half hour before my appointment, which I was already en route to, I received calls and texts that my appointment was cancelled due to an illness on their end. I understand that things happen, but less than a half hour notice is crazy.
I will note that the person calling did end up offering me a free massage (after I declined rebooking at 20% off) at a rescheduled time for my inconvenience, but I declined. I'd rather pay full price for a massage at a place I know is consistent and dependable rather than waste my time or money here.
I will also note that on previous visits to Hiatus, the experience itself was meh. There is no noise control in the treatment rooms; I could hear conversations in the hallways while getting my massage. Not exactly relaxing. Additionally, I had filled out a preferences card upon arrival and it was not given to my masseuse or followed. The massage itself was pretty good, so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt.
There are multiple reviews about cancelled and incorrect appointments, so definitely proceed with caution when...
