I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing Mexican restaurant and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile from the staff. The restaurant was brightly colored with traditional Mexican decor that gave the space a lively and authentic feel.
The menu was extensive with a wide range of traditional Mexican dishes, and I was impressed with the variety of options available. The staff was happy to explain each dish and even provided recommendations based on their personal favorites. I decided to go for the tacodeli bowl, and I'm so glad I did! The combination of flavors was a delight to my taste buds. The tender and juicy Puerco Verde was cooked to perfection and complemented the other ingredients in the bowl, which included rice, beans, salsa, and guacamole.
The food was served hot and fresh, which added to the overall experience. I appreciated the attention to detail that the chefs put into each dish. The portions were generous, and I had plenty to take home for later. The prices were also reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the food.
What stood out most to me, however, was the excellent customer service. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. The waitstaff checked in on me throughout the meal, and I appreciated their genuine concern for my satisfaction.
In summary, if you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, a lively atmosphere, and excellent customer service, this restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend the tacodeli bowl, but there are so many other delicious dishes to choose from. Don't hesitate to ask for recommendations - the staff is happy to help. I will definitely be returning soon for another...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW TO LOWER RATING!!! CHECK YOUR ACTUAL/PHYSICAL ITEMS BEFORE LEAVING STORE!! This is the second day in a row I ordered and paid for extra bacon on my tacos and it was not placed on my tacos. Grrrr. Especially when you order it to go. Your already in a hurry to get it and go and its beyond frustrating to later find you did not get what you paid for. This is the second day in a arrow that I placed an order for two tacos with extra bacon and the extra bacon was not placed on it. After yesterday I made sure to check my order before I left with it. The extra bacon again was not on my tacos. I then asked the service representative about the bacon and let him know this also happened yesterday. His response was that they only check the orders to a certain point. That honestly frustrated me so badly. Shouldn't the point that they check it to be to the point that it is ACTUALLY CORRECT? He did get the extra bacon to give to me but they should be able to be trusted to make orders correctly. I definitely will not be tipping on my orders anymore and as a delivery driver who picks up many orders from this location on Walnut Hill will be advising my customers to make sure their orders are correct and leave good or badReviews as earned.
1st Review......... The salmon taco is Awesome. The steak has always seemed to chewy and not as good. Absolutely thought the pork belly tacos were bad in texture and taste. LOVED THE BARBACOA TACOS. The staff is nice but service time...
Read morePersonally, I'd probably give them 3.5 stars. The vibe inside was good. I'm going to compare this place to Torchy's since that's what I know best. I got a breakfast taco with cubed ham, egg and peppers. It was good but in my opinion, not as good as Torchy's. It felt like a white mom trying her best to make breakfast tacos instead of a more authentic feel. The tortillas looked and tasted like it was fresher than what I've gotten from Torchy's at times but it also tasted like it was heated up in a microwave instead of on an oiled surface. It didn't have much browning on the tortilla which I prefer. I did like the salsas here better than most frombTorchy's. The doña, specifically, tastes like something you get from any hole-in-the wall authentic taqueria. We ordered chips and salsa. The chips were pretty good. I would say they edged out Torchy's on taste and freshness but the amount wasn't worth it for the price. My wife said she likes the black beans about as much or more than the ones at Torchy's. They also sell sodas from a lesser known distributor that Torchy's used to use but no longer carry. Overall, I'd eat here again just to try some other tacos. The prices are okay, too but I'd suggest sticking to your usual,...
