East Dallas’ well-known trail that extends from Deep Ellum and takes you directly into White Rock Lake. Since becoming a Lakewood resident, I use this trail daily for jogging, cycling and longboarding. Trail is fairly smooth and wide enough to ride through even with heavier foot traffic. Beware occasional debris/rocks and parents who can’t control their kids. For the most part even during peak times, it’s not too bad to navigate through. People are friendly and also mind to themselves. After dark often attracts drug-users and sketchy characters, but haven’t witnessed anything too crazy.
