Rose the Hair Ninja — Local services in Dallas

My appointment with Rose was beyond disappointing and I would not recommend either her work or her lack of professionalism to anyone.

My appointment was made for a balayage and cut (pictures included). The appointment took a total of 4 hours and during this time Rose took SEVERAL inappropriate personal phone calls, leaving me sitting in the chair to have some of her conversations in the hall. This was not in a time of processing color, this was in the middle of her doing things. She also was having a discussion with a friend in the salon in the middle of my hair cut to which she just stopped working until they were done with their personal conversation.

The color was also a disaster and the main reason for my review. I was given what looks like 2 month grown out, streaky highlights AND they are orange. She mentioned at one point she thought it may be lighter than anticipated but other than that she swooned over how pretty the color was. After leaving the salon I realized how orange and patchy my hair was.

When I reached out about my concerns Rose was not apologetic at all. She offered to retone it. However just retoning the hair would still not have given the end result of what I asked for. Due to the lack of professionalism and the already messed up hair- I did not feel comfortable returning to Rose to have it corrected.

She told me her “policy and procedures” do not allow refunds. My tip was refunded she said “I don’t request tips”, then proceeded to tell me “take care.” and blocked my phone number.

I’m more than disappointed and wish that Rose would have cancelled my appointment as she clearly had more important personal things going on in her life and I don’t believe my hair or money should’ve had to pay for that.

EDITED TO ADD: instead of choosing to take any responsibility for her poor service the response by Rose to this review was an attack on my personal character for some reason. And I can assure you that the cameras in her salon would do nothing but prove my point.
