The Goat — Restaurant in Dallas

I went with my friends on my birthday. Being one of the few African Americans in the place, we wondered how this trip would go. When we arrived, obviously people stared, as expected. There were a lot of us. We were able to sing one song and everyone was so nice and told us we did a great job. People complimented us all night. That was so nice. The actual people that were there were very nice! Afterward, though, we tried to request another song, and the DJ refused to enter it. I asked twice, and she swore she put it in there, but my name was not on the screen and I didn't want to make a fuss. I waited a whole hour and my name was not called. I also found out from my friend that the bartender was rude to him. She gave him the wrong amount of change and refused to fix it. Overall, it wasn't a terrible place, the patrons were nice...we sang with and hyped up a couple of people who sang good songs... it was just the employees. I doubt we...

Bar staff is great, drunks and cheap and strong however whoever is running the new karaoke sucks, like really really sucks it's supposed to start at 9, he rolls in around 10:30. Signed up for one song at 10:45 and then went ahead and put another one in at 11:30 because it seemed it was taking a while. Didn't get to sing that night. Was told "if you throw $5 into the tip jar, I'll skip you too the front" if you want a tip maybe try being a good DJ. Your terrible jokes and trying to "rost" other people in the bar isn't going to get you far. Anyways, if you come to sing the Friday night kareoke be prepared to watch as the DJs friends go ahead of you multiple times before you get a chance to sing, or in my case not get to sing. this place used to be packed wall to wall with great singers on Sunday nights, now it's hardly 1/3rd of what it was. until they find a new karaoke dj find elsewhere to get your Sunday night...

For my first time coming to this establishment. And the bartender ensured that I will not return. Stood at the bar as the bartender walks past us and doesn’t say I’ll be right there doing shift change or anything. When finally got her attention we asked for a menu and with an attitude she replied we don’t have one and walked away. Then get the attention of the other bartender and said that they were going through shift change before he could service us. I must say that if you are a person of color DO NOT COME HERE if you support a person of color DO NOT COME HERE. I love all colors and to be treated this way is the worse. If it wasn’t in support of a surprise proposal I WOULDN’T SPEND ONE CENT IN THIS PLACE AND SUPPORT THIS FOOLISHNESS IN 2024 almost 2025.
