UPDATE: I got my service done at the lake highlands location . I was invited back and the team took such good care of me and did an amazing job at handling this situation. Thank you hand & stone for making things right & giving me an amazing massage with Mackenzie. She gave me one of the best massages Iâve ever had.
The old review:
LADIES, please beware of getting a massage with Isaac. He made me extremely uncomfortable & touched me in ways that were extremely unprofessional. I get massages often , so I know what a good massage is and how it is supposed to feel. This was NOT that.
For anyone who is new to massages: -they should never walk in on you changing. Isaac did. He knocked and walked in abruptly and I said ânot ready yetâ and saw me with my top off. That was the first red flag and I thought to myself maybe it was a simple mistake. I was wrong. -it should feel like a massage, not like they are just feeling you up (which he was doing) there was excessive rubbing of certain places without massaging. he continuously rubbed my ears, the front of my throat (wrapping both his hands around my neck) and my hands slowly and it was SO GROSS and so weird. I know it sounds weird about him touching my fingers and ears, and I wanted to say something, but I felt so uncomfortable I didnât know what to do. But as a woman, you know when a man is touching you sensually and not professionally. Like he was literally rubbing my fingertips against his. And Never in my life have a had a masseuse hold my hands and rub my fingers for what felt like 10 minutes. And did it over and over again throughout the massage. -if you ask for them to not touch certain areas, they should not touch certain areas. I was told they would not massage my breast area and I even requested on the massage form you fill out, no pectoral , no stomach. Isaac put my arms spread eagle, and tried to massage my chest !!! I told him no and he said it was because my âpecs were tightâ wtf. -they should never expose you, and should tuck the blanket around the body areas they are not working on. The lights should also be dimmed. Issac left the lights on for 3/4th of the service & Isaac continuously exposed me. While laying face down, he tried to pull my arms up to âstretch themâ which he did so hard that he would try to pull my chest off the bed to expose my front chest. I would resist so I wouldnât expose myself but he continued to try to do this. Iâve had masseuses do this stretch before. None have EVER stretched me back so far it exposed me. He also shoved his hands under my back, down to my upper glutes, while I was laying face up and would cup my body. I would resist this âstretchâ as well. Lastly, he pulled the blanket down to try to expose my chest. I would pull it back up and tuck it under my arms. When this happened I told him I didnât want to continue the full body massage and wanted him to just do my neck. He then went and tried to fondle my feet. He didnât even attempt to massage them. He used no lotion and literally was just rubbing them and squeezing them together for like a sick foot fetish thing. I told him to stop and I didnât like that because my feet are ticklish and he continued. I then pulled my feet away from him and he said âI know I shouldnât have done that, you told me your feet are ticklishâ and laughed. he then told me I was done with the massage.
This is the sickest I have ever felt, I was praying the entire time he would say my time is up. Itâs the only time getting a ârelaxingâ massage has felt like an eternity. I told the front desk women and they were apologetic and understanding & very sweet & supportive. They said they would handle it and were extremely professional and helpful. The only reason Iâm writing this review is to tell others about my experience so they know that this is NOT normal. To Isaac, I hope you see this review and know that youâre sick and I didnât pay for my massage, but you should because that experience obviously wasnât for my enjoyment. It was for yours,...
Read moreI recieved a gift for Valentine's Day to recieve these services. Every aspect was new to me because I did not set up things myself. I do not remember any names but thats only because the services were so great, I basically went blank! Lol The massage therapist was amazing. She was very knowledgeable of things I did not know about certain massage types. I told her my problem areas and she also performed services I had never recieved before considering how often I get massage services. I felt like the time was shorter, however it could be that I just didnt want her to stop. She had great pressure and was attentive if i told her I needed lighter pressure in certain areas. I was so relaxed, I felt light headed after! To ME, thats a sign of a great massage.lol
The Esthetician was Amazing as well. I told her my concerns and she told me things about my skin that i didnt know. I was concerned that the products may not be good for my ethnic skin. However, she informed me that she was experienced working with all skin types and will does skin tests to note any sensitivity. I told her my other skin concerns and she gave advice on things to use moving forward. What I appreciate is that she did not try to push their products on my to purchase. I learned by her that my skin was better than i thought and that was a great boost of confidence!
Although I dont remember any names...there was one person in the reception area that did not emit the best energy. She wasnt rude yet I did not feel the good energy everyone else had. I had a late appt and I had a lyft there to pick me up when I was done so I had to leave. I did not have time to go over the options with her so I took the brochure with me. Who knows what her day was like so this is not so much of a complaint just observation. I think when you are in a position to offer services and there is a sales pitch at the end; being considerate and having good vibes are everything! Since this was a gift, I would have prefered to be offered to take the brochure home and if i enjoyed the services, Id have the option to consider becoming a member, not push it on me after having such a relaxing and invigorating experience around closing time. Just not the thing to do ya know and the only reason I didnt give 5 stars. Other than that; I LOVED THE...
Read moreI left with more stress than I had at my arrival. Now for the explanation. My wife has a membership at this location. She wanted to treat me to a massage but could not get an appointment at the same time so my massage was scheduled an hour or two later. I arrived and was greeted by the front desk. After they confirmed my appointment, I was asked to wait in the lobby. I waited for for several minutes while the front desk staff chatted with each other. My therapist came out to the lobby from the back and I had a massage. I am in no way a massage expert but the massage would be best described as âMehâ and uneventful. Also with the wait in the front and the stop time a âone hour massageâ is really more like a 35 minute massage. The real âproblemâ began with my exit. Upon returning to the lobby I was asked how things went by the front staff and then curtly told I now owe $20. Confused, I then politely reminded the person as I had stated upon arrival that I was treated to a massage by my wife who was a member and she had used her extra credits. She then stated that I had an up charge for âdeep tissueâ and a âtransfer feeâ. I was confused by this and asked for an explanation. The semi rude reply was that I was not my wife and that since she âgave awayâ her credits then I am subject to the fee, but if she came in with me the fee could be waived... She then pressured me for a gratuity. Also topping it off by asking if I wanted to become a member. I paused, considered whether it was worth it to argue with this completely disconnected employee who really didnât appear to care that I clearly had a problem with a fee that should have been clear BEFORE the massage not after. Given the fake welcome and fake âhow were thingsâ post massage I decided to just pay my bogus fees and leave. I paid a total of $30 for a âfree massageâ including gratuity. What would have been a non eventful massage turned into a bad experience and the feeling of getting scammed. I then called my wife to explain. She said they never stated anything about extra fees of any kind when she booked the appointment. My wife the said she has had âMehâ experience every time which is why she has unused credits. I am going to encourage her to drop this place for massages. I left with more...
