"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you might miss it". When my beautiful wife and I were traveling into the quad cities she spotted in the distance a rooftop bar and that’s all I needed to hear. It was an unusually warm spring day and a rooftop bar sounded perfect. Parking was easy and as we explored the area we were astonished by how much there was to do! Clothing stores record shops, restaurants and all sorts of different things. But when we arrived we were happily surprised it’s a movie theater!! 😮 The Last Picture House! We had no idea! So unfortunately we didn’t see a movie, we already made our plans to enjoy the outside. So we got delicious drinks and headed upstairs. The rooftop was fantastic! Tables and booths perfect for conversation as well as an astroturf area with a golf game projected on the wall! The view was great! You get to see the river as well as the hustle and bustle of the city; very picturesque. I highly recommend popping in! The posters were cool, the menus were on dvd cases and the drinks were on point. We unfortunately didn’t get to enjoy the movie and we can’t go back today but perhaps soon because you know what they say "After all, tomorrow is...

Read moreThis venue is beautiful! The movie experience is fantastic, but let's talk about the lounge! On our first trip to The Last Picture House, we intended to see a movie and enjoy a drink before the show. The drinks, lounge atmosphere, mixologists and other customers at the bar were so lovely, we didn't make it inside the theatre. We proceeded to try the delicious cocktails and interesting beers.
Of course you can get your favorite familiar cans and drafts, but try the banana wheat beer and the Kir Royale. Delicious! Am I in Chicago or is this lovely lounge and theatre in my hometown of Davenport, Iowa?
This is the perfect family, individual or date night. Love the great selection of unique and familiar films. The popcorn is delicious and I can't wait to rent out the smaller theatre for a party.
