🎃 Did you know Denton is officially the Halloween Capital of Texas? If you’ve been saying some Halloween activities are too pricey - this one’s for you. I grew up in a low-income home, and my mom always found free fun for our family of 5 (no small feat in the 90s pre-internet days!). Those $20+ ticketed events I go to now? Would’ve been out of reach back then. So as I wandered downtown Denton, I couldn’t stop thinking how perfect this spot is for families or anyone on a budget. 👏 What to do: 🕸 Walk around the town square (and a few blocks out) to see all the decorated storefronts, window art, and Halloween displays. We explored for an hour and still didn’t see it all! 🎬 Check @discoverdenton for daily events - many are free, like movies in the park, graveyard tales, and drop-in art activities. 🥪 Pack a picnic and eat on the courthouse lawn. The purple glow at night is a fun touch. 🅿️ Parking: paid lots nearby, but plenty of free street parking just a few blocks out. Local shops and restaurants have Halloween specials and themed treats too — so if you can, shop small! But even if you don’t spend a dime, Denton still delivers that cozy, small-town, Hallmark-style Halloween magic. 👻✨ 📍 Set your GPS for Denton Town Square #DallasFunAndYum #DiscoverDenton #HalloweenInTexas #BudgetFriendlyFun #SpookySeasonTX

Great variety of food, from Salad to Sushi, Chinese, Korean and American entrees. Clean and very meticulous about everyone's safety. Masks are required in the buffet area and they even provide free gloves for you to wear while you're serving yourself on the buffet area. Very affordable with special prices during that lunch hours. Great courteous service.

Went to luxury nails here and they are terrible, and made me bleed and not what i asked for. Got mad when i asked them to take off the design and made me bleed several times.

Price was high for buffet standards, 14.49 I think for dinner buffet. HOWEVER, It was the best selection of a buffet I've ever had, I had crawfish, crab, tons of shrimp, chicken, and sushi. Most other buffets try to get you to fill on rice and noodles, but the focus here is on quality meat and seafood.

Even for a pretty slow seeming Monday night the food in the steamers was fresh, nothing overcooked or been sitting out for too long.

It's been so long since I've been to a buffet since the pandemic but I'm still pleasantly stuffed like a tick and next time my girlfriend wants Chinese we will definitely be...

Buffet King has a very diverse menu and a lot of choices and if you like the bottom feeders get ready to Chow down! The have a great salad bar with many choices. Sushi Bar has some variety. Desert bar with many cakes cookies, ice cream and chocolate fountain. There is also a fruit bar. Mongolian Grill is great too! The place is clean and staff are observent to your needs, ie.. Drink refills, take unused plates away. Really quality food and something...

Denton has so much potential... Small towns around, big lakes, colleges and universities... Yet it is sort of chaotic, boring, miserable... The Square is barely above water, despite some really charming places - like the Library, the ice creameries, or the Barley&B restaurant. Americans just don't know how to do nice main streets. Walkable, populated, alive. Or did...
