I am sad to say I will no longer be using this salon. Almost every time I arrive with an appointment, they have either accepted too many walk-ins, or over-scheduled their nail techs. Since the whole world is understaffed, I was willing to look past that and give some grace. Today, however, I walked in the door with my friend at 12:30 on the dot for a 12:30 appointment I made for 2 gel manicures. There were already more customers in the salon than staff, and it appeared that, like usual, there would be a wait despite making an appointment. After our wait, things took a turn for the worse; the owner instructed my friend and I to sit down in salon chairs and was nothing short of aggressive from there. She was interrupting us when we were talking to her, grabbing our hands, barking orders, rushing both of our manicures (which she did herself, one after the other), sternly telling us not to move when we were not even moving, shouting "SWITCH [hands]" and then grabbing our hands back when we were simply trying to follow instructions. I realize she was stressed, it was obvious. But when you over-schedule your salon, that is your fault. You don't take it out on paying customers who showed up on time for scheduled appointments. The service we received today, if you can even call it that, was atrocious. My manicure, unsurprisingly, is pretty bad and definitely not worth the $42 + tip. I really encourage these folks to work on professionalism and customer service. Sorry to say after 3 years of going to this salon, I will officially not be back....
Read moreI went in to get my nails done about a week ago, and even though there were some mixed reviewed I decided to give it a go. This was definitely a mistake. I asked for a gel pedicure and a dip powder manicure with extension tips.
They started with the pedicure, which was fine. I was surprised the tools did not come directly out of a sterilized bag like I've experienced at most other salons, and there was no liner in the foot bath. I was cut at least once, which became infected a few days later. The gel was also on my skin in many places, and when trying to remove it after I left it damaged the pedicure.
Next I moved to the manicure, and I was pushed to do GelX instead of tips/powder. The GelX was essentially just press on nails with gel over them. I was cut multiple times during this process, and the nail tech seemed very frustrated that I was bleeding and she couldn't get it to stop. I ended up with gel polish all over my hands, and was told it would wash off within a few days (it didn't, it had to be picked/scraped off). 5 days after my manicure, one of the "press on" nails completely popped off. Tools that were used during my manicure just came out of her drawer, and not out of a sterilized bag, so I'm not confident if the tools had been used on other before me.
I was going to let some of these issues go, but between the infection that developed, the nail popping off, and how messy things were once I took a closer look, I couldn't ignore all of these problems. I will definitely not be returning unless serious...
Read moreI came here for the first time last week and unfortunately will not be returning. I had a dip manicure and regular pedicure done. The pedicure was decent for the price, but has already started to chip only 5 days later. Sadly, the dip manicure is by far the worst I've ever received. It took close to 2 hours and the technician did not use a base or top coat dipping powder (maybe this isn't important, but I have been getting dip for years and have never not had a base/top applied. I am obviously not an expert, but the salon I used to go to before I moved told me that you always should ensure a base/top are applied). Each nail shape is a little bit funky and merely days later, the edges have started to all chip. Less than a week later, they have even started to pop off! Never have I experienced dip nails popping off, as if they were stick on nails you get from the store. Worst of all, after they finished the service, they informed me it would be $70 because I had tips added (an extra $20 charge). I have never paid this much for dip or any type of manicure and even with extra charges for tips and shaping. The technicians were kind and friendly, but unfortunately this was the most expensive and poorest dip manicure I have...
