Do not sell your clothes here unless you want to be ripped off. They sell their clothes at a pretty high price for second hand so I expected a nice exchange rate and policy but was meant with the worst. They took my this seasons Abercrombie shorts and pants for $10….. a rip off since I paid $50 for those shorts and never worn them. Refused to take my nice barely worn American eagle and Abercrombie jeans. And when I asked they said “what jeans” which rubbed me the wrong way and made me think they truly didn’t really look at what I brought it, they responded saying they were “worn out on the inside” …. I smiled on the moment to not cause a scene because at that point I was livid. Now I’m sitting in my car staring at the inside of all the jeans I brought in…. Absolutely no pilling, no discoloration, NOTHING. Would’ve been better and just more honest if you said “we have to many jeans” because I did notice they have a lot. Like that’s fare and understandable just be dang honest. Anyways thanks for essentially stealing my new shorts. I was also surprised they didn’t ask me if I would like them back because I would’ve taken them back for the crap they offered me. And don’t comment back saying “oh you could’ve asked” yes I know that but they already put on the antitheft tags which I just thought was disrespectful to do without asking me to confirm if I’d like a trade to actually happen after giving me offers. Won’t be coming back here to shop or trade at this point and I wish I had my shorts back :/
My response to how Crossroads responded to me: I wasn't even offered half for trade so do not come at me with that lie. You need to then have your policy about the antitheft tags written and displayed so customers can voice their opinion. Why in the world would I know your policies as a first time seller and none of your employees told me of this tagging policy. Putting the blame on a customer is disrespectful. And love that there was no rebuttal to my jean comments. I just wish you guys were more...
Read moreMy other trips here were slightly better. I don't like that every time I've came, the employees are having these loud conversations for all to hear that go beyond unprofessional. Usually about the appearance of another human, it makes me uncomfortable and as if I'm next to be the topic the moment I walk out. It seems to me they should create general, all applying reasons for denying your stuff. The other reviews reflect receiving statements negatively and I had a similar experience. Was just told that Levi's "just aren't selling right now, my Guess jeans had signs of wear and my brand new, with tags pants had several stains". Lol. All three reasons seem a stretch in my opinion. Levi's are #1 in jean world, 2nd hand clothes will have signs of wear and the "stained" pants were still in the bag they got sent in. I feel the employee is searching for something to make the seller feel better and doing the opposite. They are trying to show they in fact looked at all your things and made an effort. By doing that, they have to realize the seller will magnify every statement and double check the details. Just tell me my clothes aren't a good fit this time or some other blanket statement. I get this is a catch 22 and people are probably going to find issues no matter what because they take the rejection as a personal attack lol. I do agree however, your experience is different based on the employee who helps you and wish they would stick to basic guidelines. Also, I would suggest not coming near closing time. I might give them another try based of previous visits, but if I were going off today only, I def...
Read moreMy husband and I sold clothes here for the first time tonight and we're so pleased with the experience we had. The person who sorted through my husband's stuff was thorough and really quick, and every step of the process was explained and handled seamlessly. The store is gorgeous and it's obvious from the selection that the staff really cares and labors over what they offer. I've seen complaints over the prices of items here, but I really feel like cost is fair given the quality of clothing, everything falls below market value and shows very minimal to no signs of wear. There's are tons of name brand items, unique pieces, and something for everyone.
The real star of the show tonight was Mikayla (I'm so sorry if I butchered the spelling here!) Mikayla stepped in for another buyer and took special care to go back through all my stuff after noticing they weren't satisfied with the previous buyers selections. They ended up pulling a bunch more of my items for purchase while simultaneously handling the constant flow of people into the fitting rooms, dealing with a (wrongfully) disgruntled customer, helping their fellow employees with a variety of questions, and communicating with other customers about approaching closing times. Mikayla was pulled in about 30 different directions all while remaining so present with me through the sale and maintaining absolutely stunning composure, they deserve a raise and a hug/handshake/high five. I really wish I could show my gratitude in a bigger way, because this human takes the cake for one of the most stellar customer service representatives I've had the pleasure of...
