Edit: Yes. It was extremely hot outside and he forgot. You first asked him to put a shirt on, which he was in the process of doing, neither of us tried to argue with you on that (totally understandable to want him to put a shirt on, I get that). It was after that you made the “big boy” comment that I chose to leave. You did not kick us out. It’s a bummer you chose to double down. It seems like you have this same attitude with most any other negative review. I truly did enjoy your calzones and coming here, and would bring my friends when they would come out of town. I even came for one of your early brunch promotions, when the staff said we were one of the only people outside of friends that came. That’s how much I believed in your business. Good food but if you chose to be rude to customers and double down, it’s not worth supporting.

This used to be one of my favorite calzone places. We went there early morning (after the clubs close) to get a calzone and one of the staff made a rude comment. I used to recommend this place to friends, but now I’ll be unsubscribing from their mailing list and likely will not be going here again. We came in and no one acknowledged us, even though there were two staff present. The male staff was ignoring us, flirting with some girls at the bar area. We he did eventually acknowledge us, he asked us to do something. While we were in the process of doing what he requested, he made a rude comment. I would recommend not coming here unless you want to be treated poorly by employees. It’s too bad their service has...
Read moreThis place was interesting, and while I enjoyed my experience here, it left some room for improvement:
Pros: Food was good. I tried "The Maverick" and I liked it. The heat was medium on it. Atmosphere was unique and memorable. The theme is an aircraft carrier deck, which may not be appealling to all visitors living on the front range but was fun too see nonetheless. Vegan options a huge plus, though not something I used personally. Dough quality was amazing!
Cons: Not enough thought put toward a dine-in situation. I ordered in and was given a calzone in a foil sleeve with no wax paper or tray, meaning I had to eat it off the table. To make matters worse, I ordered ranch as a dipping sauce and was given a ranch packet, which I had to pour on the foil and place my poor calzone on a napkin. It wasn't the worst thing I ever experienced but it may have been easier to use ranch poured into a small cup instead. A small investment for a large pay-off on the customer's end. I have seen french-fry trays at the dollar store before. Calzone menu options were limited for now; adding two more options may have helped alot as opposed to investing more in the decor and sides/desserts, as thats not what people come here for. I ordered water and was automatically given bottled water. Tap water is more common along the front range.
I will come back at some point but will give time for some improvements before I do. 4/5 stars, thank you for the...
Read moreI love calzones and bad jokes so when this showed up in my neighborhood I was excited to check it out. The location is super cute and the references are tight and fun if you appreciate camp. The menu is clear and concise, and the place is clean. I got the Goose calzone with green peppers and was a little disappointed. The calzone cheeses and pepperoni are good, but the veggies go in raw/unseasoned. The marinara is fine but could be more flavorful. The crust doesn’t give that nice crunchy pop you expect from a good calzone, and is more like two pizza slices stacked topping-to-topping. I won’t act like I didn’t eat the whole thing, it tasted ok but was soggy.
The worst part in my opinion was that the lady making the calzones touched the register and texted on her phone before returning to making calzones without changing her gloves. She also took my calzone out of the oven and put it into the bag without changing her gloves. I get that it’s common in most kitchens to be a little loosey-goosey about gloves and sanitation, but they’re making and bagging food at the front where the customers wait, during a pandemic, and it’s perturbing to see such disregard for sanitation standards.
Anyway, it’s certainly much better than DP Dough and Pie Hole, but I won’t get food...
