A librarian came up to my son and I in the children’s section to tell us that someone complained about the noise and she just wanted us to know. I kindly told her that my son is autistic and sometimes he makes loud noises or cries or has a difficult time in public. We have been coming to this library for years and have seen many kids have meltdowns here, but I have never seen a librarian tell someone about another persons complaint. She made us feel so unwelcome here because of my son’s disability. I asked her if we needed to leave and she just looked at me and said it was my choice, but people were complaining.
