Fifty Two 80's A Totally Awesome Shop — Attraction in Denver

Edit** The store is very defensive even though I gave them 4 stars, I visited again recently so here's an update and revised review. They love to say prices are set as a local store but if a customer has two places to buy the same item not being competitive is a bad move. Also, they still use an internet blocker so you can't compare prices online while you shop. Finally, the shop is tiny, and when I went in it was very busy with no hint at capacity measures. They allow less in stores which are twice the size, so I'm not sure what their measures are right now, I was surprised they let a lot of people in such a small shop.

Original review: Good shop and a great collection to be fair to the shop but some prices are all over the place. Some items are cheap and you can grab a bargain, some are priced right and some are crazy high! It really depends what you're looking for. Items like NES video games are 30/40% cheaper online, girls toys seem to be cheaper here than most places and all your boys toys are about right or just a bit too high. I don't think the shop always does detailed research, they have some items priced roughly the same even if one is worth more than the others, this is when you can grab a bargain, just look for the rarer variants. The store was very unique and I have never came across anything like this before. This review is very late, but I had visited for vacation last year in October of 2019.. all the way from Kansas City Mo.. and the name of the store was even enough to attract me, inside I found a wide array of vintage toys and collectibles I'd seen only in my parents description of their 1970/80s childhood. What stood out to me was the owners beyond hospitality and generosity. My girlfriend had left her purse in the bathroom, and we had driven about 25 min to our next travel destination, only to realize it was missing when we arrived at the aquarium. I called them even though the store had closed 30 min prior to my call, they called me back in 5 min on my personal phone and drove to me! They went out of their way on their own accord to provide 100% customer service. They let me finish my aquarium tour at denver and even waited for me to finish my sight seeing not only to bring us back the purse but to meet me at the front door of the aquarium with it. I am beyond thankful and very pleased with the amazing people who run a unique store. To boot. I even bought vintage Kiss Rock and Roll trading cards! And a let's...

Spent a few nights in the state of Colorado; randomly googled “Cool places to check out in Denver” and this was one of the results. I fell in love with the store even before I stopped by.

Thanks for selling me a new Sailor Moon plush for my collection! This place is perfect for 80s babies and fans alike! They have just about everything you remember from back in the day nicely decorated and displayed. We use to have a shop like this back in Chicago; love to see more of these nostalgic shops. I’m recommending this place to everyone I know who’s heading to Denver.

The one thing that did suck about my visit was I happened to be in the shop with these other customers who kept making comments about my young age (27) being in an 80s themed store.
