Absolute nightmare.
Last year my partner and I had tickets to the AEW PPV. Spent over an hour at this location waiting as the employees couldn’t figure out how to get the PPV to work. (Literally just had to be put on the right channel) said they couldn’t figure out how to work it and ended up getting a refund and the manager handing us re-entry tickets. SPECIFICALLY saying “use these on the next event”.
Last night we come for the next AEW APPV. Now we are told these can not be used on this event. The manager from last year literally lied to us and scammed us, it felt like knowing we would have to just re buy tickets anyways. Thanks for setting us up rather than being honest. I would have been fine with having to buy these tickets again but I don’t appreciate being lied to by management. Won’t be returning to this location based on a lying manager.
It just got worse from there. The “grande nachos” is laughable. They are barely nachos let alone anything “grande” about them. Almost 9 bucks for cold chips and two small cups of cheese. Nothing else. (I know the employees have no control over prices but my god 9 bucks should get you more than just chips and cheap cheese).
Then the mozz sticks. (Which took around 15 min to get) Again so pricey for so little but the worst part is they are so over cooked they are exploded out of the sticks. So I am given just tubes of empty hard breading with over cooked rubber with cheese flavoring. Two of the four were just empty and had no cheese at all sticking out of it.
If you are so busy and short staffed, and have one oven, why not just offer a limited menu until it’s not as busy or until you hire more people? Put quality first people.
Also no soap in the bathroom? Yikes.
My sister in law is the manager at the Arvada location. Go there. Far better service, care of quality and the employees actually are nice and seem to care. No one at the Northfield location looked happy. They looked miserable. Saw a manager at the concession stand rolling their eyes and sighing as another customer talked to them.
Between the two, I’ve worked in both food service and retail for over 17 years. I understand a lot and can give leniency on a lot of things but my god, this place is broken and staffed by liar management. They don’t care about quality or your experience. Just give your money and get out.
Again don’t go here. Only the Arvada location is worth your time. They...
Read moreSent someone to get r-rated tickets (some conjuring movie) and they were lied to and pretty much scammed. 💀 They told me the older white lady at the box office on a Thursday around 8:30-ish (pm) told them that he had to be a parent/guardian of the children he was buying tickets for and that he had to be 25! 25?! Haha. That’s ridiculous. She has no reason to lie, their policy on the website doesn’t even mention a specific age, just that it has to be an adult. He had a feeling that he was lying to him and he didn’t have his ID on him so he just bought ALL ADULT tickets. I don’t want to make a big deal of things but this is clearly scummy scammer behavior, making him pay more money than he had to. Movie tickets are already a lot online which is why I sent him to guy buy them in person, but he ended up paying adult prices for what suppose to be children. So when he came home and gave me more details I called the costumer service for the Northfield box office and he confirmed it was the same lady that scammed him. I asked her how old does an adult have to be to take children to an r-rated movie. She said something along the lines of, “well you have to be a parent or guardian of the children.” First of all, are they going to be asking for and checking birth certificates and guardianship papers?? When I said I was a guardian she said the age was 21. WHY LIE? Was she trying to scam my adult (but gullible) brother out of his hard earned money or what? Not acceptable behavior and...
Read moreI’d like to preface this by saying I want to give Harkins some grace because yesterday (27 August) was National Cinema Day, so it was extremely busy. Besides that, my experience was neither terrible or great. Upon arriving, I was met with an extremely large crowd (again, because of Cinema Day- so tickets were heavily discounted). There were tons of workers at concessions, which made the wait time so minimal despite the long lines. We were in theater 12, which had reclining seats that were pretty spacious and surprisingly comfortable. It was as if the AC wasn’t working because it was hot inside the theater. My irritation started to grow because during the movie, lots of teens were constantly getting up/leaving then coming back a few seconds later, screaming while the movie was playing and just being extremely rowdy which sucked for those of us that were truly there to watch. I went to the restroom and came back to find teens hanging out at the door of the theater, throwing personal items into the theater, then messing around and asking other people (like me) to retrieve their items for them. Definitely not on Harkins at all, but was a sucky first experience at this specific theater.
Overall and minus my semi-negative experience— the theater and the...
