This 1800's Style Mansion Is a Beautifully Preserved Piece of Interactive History Every Detail has Been Either preserved from Original including the front Foyer with its original ceiling and wall paper, Most items are Historically accurate yet unfortunatley not necessarily original to the property, or its original owners or its most FAMOUS Resident Margaret Brown aka The Unsinkable Molly Brown survivor of The Titanic Disaster, there is a subtle Almost sweet wood incense sent tbat is piped in within the interior of the home and the basement which has U fortunatley been Super Updated to include Drywall 20th Century Bathrooms, drinking fountains etc Which was Dissapointing to me yet a necessary evil, so There is a Nice Gift, memrobilia shop in the back carriage house which I belusve would have been a great place for updated features like bathroons etc? It Contains all the Titanic items including a DVD Copy of The 1997 Record Breaking Titanic Film, Lego Style Titanic Models Even And I Cant Make This Up a "WATER SCENTED" Candle Which if I'm Correct Was The Last Scent Some of Thoze Whom Perished that night ever Smelled also correct me if im wrong but if you smell water don't you normally drown? I Digress but the candle has a small piece of a ship and berg which when melting looks like the disaster Scene creepy yet AWESOME I Wish could have bought that, also a dresser top mirror that resembles one of that era, And Of Course, Penny flattening souvenior machine, The Staff Was Very Welcoming and patient Especially for lack of memory and better words The black woman I wish i Remembered her Name she was great very fun and knowledgable, also such a great attitude made the experience that much better i believe I frightened her as i emerged from a servants hallway in the middle of her sharing of knowledge lol I Enjoyed every corridor, and room we had access to, they were welcoming even to my questions of Paranormal activity and even though I Have Not Experienced "GHOST CAT" I did have my cat allergies act up, and We Had A Haunting Experiwnce With My 4 Year old cousin she was enjoying The Front Porch Swing and Hand to GOD She Said Quote "Not so fast "MARY" when Asked she Said Her "SISTER MARY" Was Pushing Her I had to ask if there was a "MARY" Associated with the home come to find out the Building next door was once an orphanage named the "SISTER MARY" orphanage also Margaret aka Molly Brown had a sister whom lived in The house named Mary VERY COOL Side Note as you will notice in my images inside the home mist are blurry as opposed to outside where tgey are crystal clear very strange and interesting phenominom, this was an item i can npw cgeck off the list always wanted to experienxe this home it is a must see and if you are on the EBT Foodstamp card there is a Special pretty extrene Discount this home museum is worth every penny! #SizzleSaidIt #SizzleReviewsApproved,...

Read moreI really enjoyed this site, if nothing else, for the beautiful architecture/design example. The original plaster walls and stained glass windows are really unique and beautiful. They have also recreated the rooms pretty faithfully: they have early pictures of the interior of the house that let them do this accurately.
The tour wasn't overly long (about 45 minutes); I would've liked it to be a little more detailed, but other visitors were getting tired, so I understand the length.
The facilities are great. You can bring/buy water to drink, which I'd recommend. I went early in the day, so it wasn't terribly hot, but I can imagine how hot it would get in there later in the day.
