Well I lived here for a couple months, and I have to say it was not pleasant. The rooms are very small, most with communal shared bathrooms and the entire building only has one kitchen! My family member and I worked during the night, yet the nosy and often rude staff insisted on waking us up multiple times a week in the middle of the day for what I can only assume were basically room inspections, since the cleaning crew worked for the hotel and usually didnt actually do anything besides walk around and wipe up the sink for like 2 minutes. Can't say the place was dirty, bathrooms and common areas were cleaned regularly. The worst part was the HORRIBLE PARKING! When I left the rate was TWENTY DOLLARS per DAY just to park in the adjacent lot. The building owner sold their parking to a corporation and made staying at the location with a car a literal nightmare. Staff were generally ok, but many many times I would hit the buzzer and have to wait 3 or 4 minutes for someone to actually respond and unlock the door. It's really awkward walking through the lobby since you're basically forced to make eye contact with the attendant the whole way, although honestly given the fact that the hotel is in a ghetto I think the extra security was well worth the occasional awkward moment. Staff could be rude, many times I got an earful for asking for towels or to pay my rent. Free toiletries, towels, and free use of pots and pans was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stayed here a few weeks after moving to Denver and trying to find a place to live. Overall I really liked it and was happy with the staff and rooms! I felt comfortable living there while I did and felt safe. The other residences were all kind and the staff was very helpful. No itās not as fancy as a hotel, thereās shared bathrooms but I never had an issue not having a bathroom to use. They were all cleaned often and were open for use 9 times out of 10. The rooms are spacious and have dressers and closets for items and personal sinks and mirrors. Thereās no tvs in the rooms which wasnāt an issue but they do have a tv room and vending machines at good prices. I absolutely loved the old school vending machines! Really just a cool building overall with a lot of history. Downsides- Smoking is allowed so itās kinda musty I guess you could say. I feel like it needs a bit of a deep cleaning. Kitchen was fine except Iād often have to share kitchen space. No actual oven but thereās burners and a little toaster oven. Carpets could be kept up a bit more. And location to me was fine but Iām sure to some it could seem sketchy. I never had any issues though being a young female. Iām super happy with the experience and Iām glad me and my boyfriend stayed there. It was a big help for us with the price and weekly rates. And it was just a pretty cool experience staying there. Would recommend!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad one bad experience here before with some miscommunication which was after a bad roommate that caused the staff issues. I decided to come back because as much as I feel like last visit I did not have a fair shake I felt I also did not give them a fair chance to fix it and or discuss other options given the circumstances. Second time staying here and so far everything is good. Staff is accommodating and friendly. The facility itself is old and has issues but that is not directly on the staff per say as I am sure they do the best with what resources they have available. The building is definitely in need of some tlc as far as hot water goes and electricity. If they upgraded their water heating systems with devices that heat the water closer to the required destination it might help. I have seen the device in a gas station before that required it as they needed to have the water reach a certain temp within a certain time frame to pass inspection. Think those devices require electricity though also so not sure how it would work without also redoing some of the...
