Great local pub vibe. I’ve stopped by twice this weekend and love having it as my go-to neighborhood bar. You really can’t beat the location, being close to everything Capitol Hill has to offer, but nicely tucked away on a side street, adding to its neighborhood feel. The staff is super friendly, remembering me after just my first visit and making sure to attend to me quickly even when I come in alone with a book. Although it has a dive bar thing going on, the food is excellent and fresh. A huge thumbs up to the French fries - warm and crispy! Given its sports bar leaning the place can attract a bit of a rowdy crowd once in a while, but more often than not it’s super chill and a great place to hang on a hot afternoon. I am so glad to have this bar as my regular local hangout and look forward to reporting on how it compares to other places on Capitol Hill.

I went for dinner this evening and sat on the patio. I walked my dog up there and during the course of our visit it started to heavily rain. Well instead of allowing the dog to sit under the covered patio the owner made the dog stay outside the patio in the rain. His name is John, he’s a jerk. Don’t support this place if they are going to allow for treatment of dogs like this. I understand normally they aren’t allowed on the patio but this is just really somethin’ an accept ion could have been made.

There was not very many people in there, and there’s no wonder why. Not only did it take a while to get service, but they were rude about it. We are ordering with drinks, and it seem to be an inconvenience. They did not have any type of seltzer or twisted tea type of options. The best they could do was lemon vodka, and either lemonade or tea as a suggestion. Was not very clean in my opinion. I definitely will not be going back. The restroom was horrible and the door would not shut.

I went here with a group of friends on a weeknight to watch and enjoy a football game. When I arrived it seemed to be seat yourself so I grabbed a table in the bar area. There was no sign saying to order at the bar or if a server would come to your table. I waited patiently to see if a server would come to our table to order drinks. This never happened so I went to the bar to order a drink and the bartender seemed to not notice anyone at the bar, instead eating by the register and scrolling through their phone. Eventually I was able to order. Later in the evening the bartender brought us some food and we asked if we should continue to order through the bar or if there was a server for our table because it was still not clear. The bartender said there was a server and he would send her to our table. Another 15 minutes went by with the server walking past our table multiple times and when we tried to grab her attention she seemed to ignore us. Eventually we were able to order and the food was decent. At the end of the night we all wanted to close out our tabs. This is where our problems really began. The waitress brought the receipts with what we ordered and none of them were close to what we had ordered. We then tried to talk with her about getting the receipt to match what we ordered. She said she would fix it and bring new ones over. This never happened and instead just charged the cards on file for incorrect orders (some of which were triple the price of what we had actually ordered). When we tried to explain this to her, she ignored us and never came back to our table. Finally being fed up with this, we went and waited at the register for her to come back and correct it. Over the course of another 20 minutes, waiting at the register, we were finally able to close out incorrect tabs, having given up trying to get them right and wanting to leave. While we were trying to work with the waitress she continued to put in other people's orders and ignore us. After 45 minutes from when we asked for the check, we were finally able to close out and leave.

Overall the food, atmosphere and prices were good (their happy hour is very reasonable), however I will not be returning due to the bartender and waitress' service, attitude towards our table, and lack of being able to get our...

My girlfriend and I stop in here 1-2 times a month every Thursday. I drive in to downtown and we meet up to walk 8 blocks to come here. We have been going here for the last year at least. There are several lunch options in this part of town and we have it as one of our go to places. It's never crowded, we enjoy using the TouchTunes to listen to some of our favorite music as we chat and relax during our lunch break. The food is also better than average and varied.

In the last few months the usual Thursday guy was replaced by someone else. I never caught his name. He seems less personable or helpful but the service was never bad enough to complain about it. That is til yesterday.

The only time he left the bar was to give us our drinks and a single menu and later serve our food. He took our order by shouting from the bar. I had to come up to the bar to get drink refills and to close out our tab. Mind you, there were only two other people in the place and both were at the bar. He was more interested in his phone than he was at our dining comfort. Also sometime during our meal one of the songs we had chosen on the TouchTunes ended abruptly. We have no idea why but we suspect the bartender/waiter decided he had had enough of it and invoked administrative power on the juke box.

So, I hate to be one of those people that only posts a review after a horrible experience but I feel this quality of service warrants some feedback so the owner knows their lunch income is going to start dwindling if everyone is treated this way and if he was reserving this special treatment for just us? Well that is just...
