Have to give this place one star just to post my comment.. Have to post my comment hoping that no one else wastes their time! If you're looking for a professional and respectful consignment shop "turn the page!" cause this certainly isn't the one! I brought in close to $2000.00 worth of brand name designer wear to see if they could help me out... First of all the owner and/or manager was not onsite so I had some 16yr old (she looked 16) assist me who said that I needed to leave my items (which was a big mistake on my part!) and to fill out a card with my contact info for the owner and that I would receive a call to schedule a time to go over my items with me within the week. I received a call 3 days later, and all the voicemail stated was that "my items were ready"... ??? to come in within the next 3 days. I go to the store thinking that I would be able to meet with the owner/manager to discuss whether or not they were interested in my items and when I get there they just handed over my items with no explanation as to why and/or what they were interested in at the time or what was in/out of season perhaps.... not a word! I went home and started looking through the garment bags after realizing they had broken a few cedar hangers as well as a couple velvet hangers that had expensive formal gowns. I am furious because not only were the tags were missing off of a $350 Vera Wang dress I had taken in but it looked like someone had tried it on and probably just threw it on the ground because it was filfthy! Tags were ripped off of a Ralph Lorean dress I had taken in AND I was missing a couple items! But then again, I can't blame anyone but myself for leaving my...
Read moreI love the idea of shopping here, but the reality is disappointing. It’s uncomfortably busy and the employees come off as mean. I recently overheard them making fun of a bag of clothes someone brought into sell. A few weeks ago I was fat shamed by their employee Treya while trying on clothes. She assumed none of the clothes fit me and tried putting them back. She looked shocked when I said no and went to purchase.
Overall Second Love could do better at keeping the racks organized on slow days. It’s frustrating seeing all these small sizes among the limited quantity of L-XL items, especially when the store is empty on a week day. There’s way too much cheap fast fashion brands filling the racks. They should stop buying junky brands like Cider and Zara. No one buys Cider because they think it’s good quality, they buy it because it’s cheap polyester that is well advertised.
They claim to only buy clothes from the last two years but I purchased a button up shirt here in early spring that is clearly someone’s mom’s shirt from the late 90s. It even had “Claire” written in sharpie on the tag inside. That specific shirt ended up having a tear along the side (pic included). This isn’t goodwill, and they should not be selling damaged clothing. Check your clothes for...
Read moreI’ve bought and sold numerous things here and this is one of my top thrift stores in Denver for a few reasons (and I go to a LOT) but mainly that they have high-quality thrifted items that will last (and have!) and the staff is just lovely.
The selling process is easy and you honestly get a good amount compared to other places I’ve gone, even though I tend to turn right back around and spend it…oops. The store itself has all the cutest vibes (candles, the cutest dressing room area, hair clips, antique style furniture around the store) and is arranged by color (!!!) and is pup friendly on top of it all.
Just as a cherry on top this is not only the cutest store but location is perfect. They share a suite with the Yogi Exchange so you can head right on over and check out leggings and crystals or pop outside to grab coffee at the Huckleberry or stroll down Tennyson.
Oh! And they have a great rack out front with items for literally $10. Like all thrift stores the selection constantly changes so there may be a day you find a million cute things and days that things aren’t really matching with your style but I’d encourage anyone to check them out a couple times and...
