UPDATE: today is May 31, 2022. We are locals, and after eating here SEVERAL times we were literally kicked out of the restaurant while waiting to get seated because we were sitting on the bench in the foyer instead of waiting outside (we were next in line and the hostess already had our party number). The waitress who kicked us out said there’s a sign above the door that says we are supposed to wait out there. What does the sign say?…it says, “All seating to the left All takeout to the right.” In no place does it say all guests have to wait outside. When I told her we’ve been here many times before, and this is the first time we’re being kicked out she snapped back, “There is a sign above the door!!!” Wow!
If you have time to wait in their long lines and want big portions for relatively low prices, then this place is for you. If you eat with your eyes and presentation matters, then you’re not going to find this place as appealing. I recommend sticking with their sandwich options.
I’ve been here twice. The first time was absolutely spectacular! The second time wasn’t. Their portions are phenomenal for the price in this area, but the taste can sometimes come up short.
The first time we went there I got an egg salad sandwich—the bread was amazingly good, but the egg salad itself was on the bland side. The coffee was standard for a diner, and needed lots of creamer to bring the taste up. Their grits were some of the best I’d ever had. My wife loved her sandwich and cole slaw. The overall experience drove us back to try it out again.
The second time we went there I got the Monster Omelet. It was big, but there was nothing special about it other than it’s size. The bacon inside of it was thick and rubbery. The flavors of the meats and eggs didn’t meld well together. Overall, not an item I will ever order again. My hot chocolate, however, was one of the best I’ve had at a diner! I had slices of sourdough with it and again, the bread was fantastic. My daughter had the French toast, and she ate only half of one-half slice. Very bland…didn’t even have cinnamon in it. My wife got a seafood omelet that she didn’t...
Read moreSo confusing when restaurants make part of their menu (and have "bakery" in the name) and have such subpar food for the other 90% of the menu. The French toast I ordered wasn't remotely homemade and the bread is a very thin Texas toast style just sitting bare on the plate, no sign of any egg or batter anywhere, no seasoning (cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, anything), or flavor, just powdered sugar garnish, the end. I chose sourdough for my bread and paid a $1 extra for praline topping to go w it which was about 7 pecan halves in a molasses style syrup with no flavor and definitely not praline served in a 4 oz cup on side. How sourdough was actually thin Texas toast I have no clue (the only choices were white, wheat, sourdough, some raisin toast). So disappointing when French toast is so easy to make flavorful and homemade (no to mention almost every breakfast restaurant in the country now stuffs their French toast with something interesting, has a ton of toppings, flavored syrups, challah bread, sweetened ricotta, fresh berries, and makes it in house). That's it. My daughter's French toast was 2 pieces. No syrup options, just an unlabeled squirt bottle on the table. No idea why a breakfast place wouldn't have good syrups or even 1 good labeled one. Also it's obviously cold because it's sitting in a plastic squeeze bottle on the table all day. My son's Philly seemed like the food quality was ok but no seasoning at all on anything. Service was alright, saw her 3x. No drink refills offered, no follow up after food drop except for a silent check drop, no desert offered which we were going to try. Donuts were good in flavor and individual presentation and $5+ each but hey it's a tourist area. $56 fed 1 adult, 1 x 17 year old (adult meal obviously), & a 7 year old with us each 1 donut Togo. We should've eaten somewhere else and gotten 3 donuts Togo if we still felt like it. We were hungry...

My twin sister and I wanted to take a moment to share our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful experience we had during our recent trip to Destin. (Our second time in a year). We visited six days out of the seven we were in town, and each time, we were blown away by the incredible vibe, the delicious food, and, most importantly, the exceptional service. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. The warmth and welcoming atmosphere you’ve created are truly special, and that’s a direct reflection of your amazing staff. I have to give a special shout-out to Heather and Kenya—both of them are exceptional human beings who went above and beyond to make us feel like family. Their kindness and attentiveness created such a positive, inviting experience, and we could see how much they genuinely care about the customers. Even when there was a line, they made sure no one ever felt like an inconvenience. It’s rare to find employees who embody such genuine warmth and care, and you’re lucky to have them! As for the food—where do I even begin? The donuts are perfection, and the cake? We couldn’t get enough! We even found ourselves grabbing a slice of cake first thing in the morning, which says a lot about how irresistible it is. It’s clear that you’ve put a lot of love into your menu, and every bite was a testament to that. We will absolutely be back the next time we’re in town, and it’s because of the wonderful experience you and your team have provided. Heather and Kenya truly made a lasting impression on us, and we are so grateful for the kindness and exceptional service they offered. Thank you for creating such a special place in Destin—we can’t wait to return! Cheers from Morgan and Kendal , from Windsor...
