Banana Bart — Local services in Destin

I have been vacationing at least once yearly in Destin for approximately 20 years. Have always wanted to stop in this cute shop to check it out, but often found it to be closed. Finally was able to visit 2 years ago and was sadly disappointed. When leaving, my friend opened the door, and the wind blew business cards off of the counter. She had no idea this had happened and continued out the door. The owner yelled rude comments about her being at fault and not picking them up. It was clearly not her fault, and the way he treated a customer has stuck with me ever since. In reading others comments, i realize it must be a trend. I will never recommend this shop...

They're like family to me, I enjoy seeing you and Bart whenever I visit my grandparents. I love shopping for your atocha coins and the hematite rings, among other trinkets that make my room feel like a pirate ship.

This place! We've been stopping in here every December for years. Thousands of "things" to looks at. Unique room decor, clothing, bags, jewelry, candles.....you know....stuff!! This is a great place to buy nifty gifts! All jam packed into a small space makes for fun and whimsical visit. My favorite is all the unique jewelry pieces with stones and my husband generously lets me pick a special piece each year for Christmas before Christmas. 🙂 The couple that owns and operates the place are friendly and we always learn something neat about Destin or the area if they have time to chat.
