Tarpon Beach Access — Attraction in Destin

Destin please start enforcing code!! How can a wave runner rental company set up on the public beach access????? They have set up so you can't swim in the public water access!!! Where is code enforcement? Non-existent. Beach chair rental company allows no access to set up your own chairs. They get there early and hog up all the space. City code enforcement is too lazy or bought off and do not enforce the rights of the public. Know your rights and fend off the bully chair rentals!! According to the Destin city code, beach chair vendors must set up their equipment no less than 20 feet from the water’s edge, they can only be on “private beach” and they’re not allowed to restrict the public’s access to the beach in front of their chairs.
