Terrible Personal Experience At This Store in Destin!

I needed an image printed on a sheet of paper and labels. The night before, I went to the Printing Services area of the store and the employee was great. I was able to load the graphic, put it on an Avery template, put it in Word and print them out. He allowed me to get labels printed and a big version of the graphic on a sheet of paper.

I went today to get that same graphic printed a little bit bigger, but the employee, Michael, said that he could not allow me to do that. He said that he would have to charge me a design fee to enlarge the graphic, the very thing I was able to do the night before by the very helpful staff member. I told him of my great experience last night and he said it was against store policy to do that. I then asked to see the store policy that describes the restriction since I was able to do the very same thing the night before, but he said it was against policy to show customers the store policy. I asked to speak to the store manager and he said that he was the manager. I told him to have a nice day and started to leave, then he said that there was another assistant manager I could speak to. He misrepresented himself to me by saying he was the store manager when, in fact, he (Michael) was not the manager of the store, only of the print services. By then, after being misled to believing he was the store manager and also being misled that there were no other printing services in Destin (he said I had to go to Ft. Walton Beach), I had enough and started to lose the ability to speak.

I HIGHLY recommend not patronizing this store if Office Max/Office Depot staff are going to mislead customers in this fashion. There are many other options in Destin to get print and copy services. Workers were just wandering the store and we couldn't get anyone to help us buy an office chair. We asked one guy, who said it wasn't his section, so we asked the manager, who said he'd send someone over. No one came over. My daughter wanted to buy some earbuds, but the rack was locked. We asked a saleperson if they could get the earbuds for us, and he said he didn't have a key, but he'd call someone. No one came. Then the manager wandered close to us, and I asked him, and he said he didn't have a key, but someone would be over soon. Finally, 10 minutes or so later, a salesperson was heading over to help us, and the manager stopped her, and asked her to come help him with something. 10 minutes later, she came back and said she didn't have a key, but she'd go get one. She went up to the first guy we asked and he gave her the key. We had taken the tag from the chair we wanted to the register, and the cashier said "Let me see if we have one in a box. She asked one of the guys to go check and he just wandered to the back of the store and never came back. My husband went back to check on him and he was standing in front of the wrong chair, saying, "We don't have any in the box". Husband showed him the chair we were trying to buy, and he was told that they 'probably' don't have that one in a box either, and the old guy wandered off again. We left and I ordered the chair online from Staples. Awful staff....

Good Luck getting help!! My wife walked in as a few men sat at a front table and ignored her. Not saying hello or welcome to Office Depot. There were at least 7 employees scattered across the store .She had to track one down to help her. Thank God his pointing finger worked to say over there. The cashier was present but that is about all. She needed help to get her flat cart to the car with child in tow. No one seemed to interested in helping.. As she struggled to bring back the cart while in physical pain she gave a few Scolding words of how disappointed she was in there service . That is when a manager got off of his chair now at the front entrance and went to chaise her down to see what they had done wrong.At this point THEY ARE CLUELESS !!!
