Waffle House — Restaurant in Destin

Dined for breakfast this morning at 10:30am. Was greeted with the most sunny smiley young gal Hailey. While waiting for our meal an older woman, Cindy started to bark so loudly at the staff. She totally berated them in front of the very crowed restaurant. About putting names on their tickets. Calling out this that or the other thing, and how she's sick of cleaning up after them. On and on. My husband and I own 3 restaurant style stores and would NEVER think to berate our staff in that manner, let alone doing so in front of customers. Our poor waitresses whole body language changed as did other staff I observed. A more appropriate way to address it since it's an open kitchen would be to tap the servers on the shoulder and quietly remind them to hollor out things that need to be started and to put their names on the tickets. Then let your cooks acknowledge the order additions by responding with a thank you and repeat it. Simple and so much better. I gave a three because food was good and our server was great. AWFUL!!! Not only did we have to sit and wait forever for a clean table, but we got to watch a couple (only two) look at us then the table we were waiting on to be cleaned and walk right past our party and take the one table we had already pulled a high chair up to and waited forever to be bussed. The staff knew, and did nothing more than quickly run and finally buss it for them and not us. The only table left was sitting there filthy for a while and not big enough for our party of four, not including my ten month old child. Which if they had bussed the other table would have been perfectly spacious for the couple. The only attention the staff decided to pay is when they wanted to awh at my daughter. The place sat there absolutely filthy and the staff couldn't be bothered. Not to mention people waited at the cash register forever because they were paying no attention. Disgusting! AWFUL SERVICE, we went to eat to this Waffle House, we just order a burguer and when it was ready one of the server refuse to give it to us because my mom wasn’t wearing her shoes, she was wearing hills the whole night and I think it’s normal to take them off if you got tired, I get up from the table and literally said I will go to the car to pick up her shoes but that rule is stupid and that server start giving us a bad attitude yelling at us and saying “this is America” just because we are Hispanic???? Also if you have money but no shoes on at 2m they will not give you the food what you already order until you put your shoes on??? It was no sight or anything, that server was just stupid and racist.
