I am not one to write reviews and I hate writing bad reviews, but I feel the need to write a review in hopes other brides donāt have the experience I did while I was at Luxe Redux Bridal in Detroit over this past weekend.
For starters, I was beyond excited to visit this location as I have been following them on Instagram for months, but sadly the experience did not live up to my expectations. The entire experience was very uncomfortable and did not feel personable. While I did show my stylist my Pinterest board and she did provide me with a dress similar to what I wanted, I was only provided with a handful of dresses to try on and was not permitted to walk around the boutique to look at other options. My bridal party however did get up to look around because the selection I was given was not what I was looking for but the stylist refused to pull any of the dresses they suggested.
Not only did my stylist not listen to my bridal parties suggestions, but she was somewhat dismissive of them throughout the entire process and I felt forced to converse with her over talking with my family and friends who obviously know me best.
Something else I felt forced to do was try on every dress presented even though I immediately knew by looking at it that I wouldnāt like it. This just wasted my time, which was already limited. Another waste of time was being forced to say something positive with every dress I tried on.
Finally, my stylist didnāt make suggestions when I felt like a dress was missing something. I had to bring up the modesty shaw or other possibilities. It just felt like she was pulling dresses instead of styling a bridal look.
Very disappointed with this experience but very grateful that I had schedule another bridal appointment with a different bridal store afterwards, as that experience was a total 180.
Ladies, if you do plan on visiting this location, look at all the dresses and the accessories before trying anything on. And donāt feel pressured to try something on just to make the stylist feel better, this is about YOU and YOUR day. Two hours goes by a lot faster...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience at Luxe Redux Detroit was not pleasant. Considering the expectations set through social media, their constant messages before the appointment, their cancelation fee and the place itself, which is lovely, you would expect a great service. Not only we were told NOT to enter the store until called, which was later than the time scheduled, it seemed the stylist did not even bother to look into what we were looking at regarding styles ( Pinterest references), when the wedding was and budget which was sent around 2 weeks before. Besides it was on a bad mood with a face on the entire appointment. We were told to not touch anything, which we get since they are sample dresses, but the inability to aid the stylist made the experience far from desired since the dresses presented were terrible. Not even a suggestion was welcome from my bridal party. During the consultation I felt uncomfortable and stressed by the staff team during the total of the appointment. They brought dresses that were 5 sizes bigger, expected to be arranged during alterations, consistently bringing items in dresses that were told I did not liked, items over budget for more than 35% and wouldn't let me even turn while getting fitted INTO A DRESS THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO BUY. Too many rules and procedures making a bad, stressful, not recommended experience.
During this time we were not even offered a glass of water. They anticipate to be there for two hours but that is because they failed to read my style and seemed to be angry when I decided not to try dresses that did not fit my requirements.
At the end they wanted us to ship to the store dresses for 50 USD each into their location for me to try.
Once more, they put themselves way high on expectations and failed astronomically to achieve.
Would recommend to go there if you know they have a dress you are dying to try, not to get a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLuxe Redux Detroit- If I could give a negative rating I would! The experience was HORRIBLE! I am assisting the bride with planning her special day. I called and scheduled the appointment at the request of the bride. I specifically asked about bridesmaid dresses and was told they had them. The bride had to place a credit card on file per their cancellation policy. Everyday up to the scheduled appointment date, I received bullying type text messages stressing their cancellation policy. On the day of our we had to wait to be buzzed inā¦After traveling from Toledo. FIRST, the stylist told us bride dresses only. Secondly, the stylist was dressed inappropriately (GOTHIC DRESSED, BOOTS AND DARK MAKEUP). Since they didnāt sell bridesmaids dresses the bride decided to look at some gowns. The stylist was told what she DID NOT WANT and pictures were provided, the stylist brought out gowns that was exactly what the bride DID NOT WANT. She brought us out warm, cloudy water to drink. She constantly told us donāt touch the dresses. After hearing the comments from the bridesmaids, the stylist suddenly got sick and another stylist tried, she told us to order the bridesmaid dresses online and that the bride could get one dress and pay $$$$$ to have it altered. After trying on a few dresses the bride decided this is not where she wanted to purchase her dress...
