CTO Prom & Formal — Attraction in Douglasville

If anyone ever asks should you hire a wedding planner, the answer is YES!!! You never know what may happen but when it does you need someone in your corner. Cereatha (owner) of CTO is the most patient and kind hearted soul on the planet. Not only was she there every step of the way helping with suggestions and referring us to great vendors, when I needed her the most she stepped right into action. My wedding venue shut down on 7/11. My wedding was two months away. I called her in hysterics at 11pm that night sharing what happened and when I tell you that two days later we found our new venue it was nothing but her! I was ready to quit and not even go through with the wedding. She reassured my husband and I that these things may happen but to never let them stop you from your end goal. I would have never made it to 9.23 without her. My wedding went off without a glitch. It was perfect!!! People asked me how I was so calm on my big day and I owe it all to her because I knew that she and her staff had everything under control. In addition, I was able to outfit my bridal party and myself through her. Did I mention how gorgeous my gown was!!! She is literally a one stop shop for all your bridal needs. Getting married is a big deal, it is stressful and time consuming. I had no idea where to start with dress shopping. I knew of big companies, but I am so unique and like less generic things. I literally just googled dress stores and CTO came up. At first I was a little hesitant because it was a small boutique. It ended up being the best decision of my life. The dresses there were AMAZING. I had gone to several stores and tried on over 50 dresses and not fallen in love with any of them. There were parts I liked but none stood out. When I went to CTO I LOVED 3 dresses. Like most girls I grew up thinking of the perfect dress and had "fallen in love" with several dresses on Say Yes To The Dress but each was over $10,000. CTO has the same high quality dresses with out the sticker shock. And to say that the service was perfect is not doing it justice. The owner was so flexible and accommodating. I had a very large bridal party of 13 and I got our bridesmaids dresses there too. She hosted a very nice event one afternoon for all of them to come in and get fitted and order them. Do not waste your time with this place. I trusted them with what should have been a beautiful and memorable experience. I had my mother and maid of honor come from NC to my first appointment and was embarrassed when I showed up to CTO bridal and the seamstress was not there and was running late. We waited 20 minutes only to hear the receptionist call the seamstress with no answer. I had planned to purchase my accessories, my two flower girl dresses and my mother's dress from them but I will not give CTO another opportunity to waste my time...neither should you!

By the way, it took 3 phone calls and two voice messages just to make an appointment. I should have taken that as a sign to go elsewhere. I gave them a chance because they were close to my home but more importantly-they were black owned. I will travel to Atlanta or Kennesaw to get great service where I feel a store WANTS...
