Americans with Disability Act noncompliant. I have autism, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I have been going to this store for a long time. I never has any issues other than a worker cussing and confronting her about her language which I done so in a decent manner. Manager even apologized for her behavior. One associate claims I harassed her yet all I did was asked her if she liked metal music and that I was trying to find local metalhead to go see shows with. I wasn't hitting on her. I'm not at a point in my life where I'm ready for relationships and due to the last one I'm afraid. So yeah she reported it to corporate and they banned me and I came in Saturday not knowing and they tried everything to get me arrested for trespassing. You can't just tell me I'm not allowed in the store? I would have left right away. You called the cops and tried to have me arrested? WHO DOES THAT! Was me asking about what kind of music she liked and aboutgoing to shows inappropriate? idk my autism causes me to lack appropriate social convention. There may have been another time like when I got agitated with a return but that's because my disability symptoms were acting up I got cut off by one guy and forced me into another lane almost hitting a camaro and that camaro guy threatens to hurt me. So yeah my brain was scrambled and not firing correctly. They claim I have been vulgar to many people there which is not true. Sure my disabilities cause me to be odd and eccentric but that's no reason to lie to get me not allowed in the store. I CAN'T HELP I'M MENTALLY CHALLENGED. One even knows me by name and was always so welcoming and kind. Always asking about my poison dart frogs. I called and told her about it and she was shocked I would be perceived in such manner and that that happened to me. Only one other cashier was rather nice as well but everyone else there would rather not even speak to anyone and are rather avoidant. They just sent a sheriff to check on me because I told them they stripped away my happiness and took away my will to live. Doesn't mean I'm going to hurt myself. I've got things to live for but they did indeed take away all my will. Who knows how long it will take to get it back. This was a very traumatic experience for me. It's a sad world we live in where disabled people...
Read moreThe manager there could be one of the worst examples of a leader I've seen. No mind set on what good customer service is. If I decide to continue shopping harbor freight, I'll do it on line just to avoid her raising her voice at me and causing a massive scene while several groups of customers were in line. I was horribly embarrassed and almost walked out with out purchasing anything. I wish I remembered her name, but it was something like tina or nita. Just terrible.
Over a year later, the same manager is there and still atrocious. I hoped i could shop here again, but I'll take my business elsewhere. This time one of the 2 cashiers called for assistance with the line because it was stretched almost to the back of the store and customers were complaining loudly about how long it was taking. I was checking out when the manager came up and instead of getting on a register to check people out faster, she began fussing at the cashier for calling her to the front and told her that "these people can wait as long as it takes. If they didn't like it, they could go to Walmart or home or where ever they want to go, there's going to be lines everywhere." Then she told the other cashier to move off the register because she had something to do. When he said he was finishing ringing me up, she told him to hurry up. She is very curt and all around a very bitter person. I'm disappointed she is still in a management position. I guess harbor freight doesn't care about it's customer's or employees experience while in the store. I will not be back until this...
Read moreRude obnoxious check out clerk. Total disaster. Was looking for a garage Hydraulic lift jack, one ton. Computer said had one in stock. Got to the store, had one on floor. Told check out I wanted it. He said no they do not sell the one on display. I asked if it worked, he got real sarcastic. Said we don't sell the ones on display, that a truck was scheduled in tonight and I could call tomorrow to see if any came in. I told I had just driven 25 miles that I would not do that. I had a couple of impulse items. I told him he could keep those also. Shows me how little you care about the customers. You have an item that I want to buy, you refuse to sell it because you only have one. Well I only wanted one. You will not have to worry about satisfying me, I will not be back, I will also tell anyone that will listen how you treat your customers. Must be nice to have a profit margin so high that you could care less about...
