We have visited this location numerous times and have always enjoyed our dinner. We showed up about 9:45pm on July 25th. We had just returned from out of town and wanted to grab something to eat for our daughters 9th birthday. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly empty which was expected since it was almost 10pm on a Sunday. We were greeted by Brian (who we were later told was the manager). He sat the two parties (of 2) that arrived before us and then advised they were pushing our tables together and we would be seated momentarily. After he walked away, a young lady with short curly hair, I’m assuming the hostess, walked up and then seated the party of 2 that showed up after us. She then proceeded to advise us that the wait would now be between 10-15 minutes as she just sat her last waitress table and could not double seat her servers. I explained to her that if that was the case then she should of seated us instead of the party that arrived after us, and advised her what Brian had just stated prior to her walking up. She began to catch an attitude and state again that she could not double seat her servers and I quote “she didn’t know what else to tell us”. She then walked away, and proceeded to talk with another young lady pointing, laughing and making snide comments in our direction. When she returned, I asked to speak with the manager. Her response was “I already told the manager”. I said that’s fine but I would like to speak with the manger regarding you. She laughed and walked away and that’s when Brian returned as the “manager”. I began to proceed to tell him what had taken place and his hostess’ lack of respect and professionalism, to include her snide comment. She rudely jumped into the conversation between the manager and I and he had to instruct her more than once to be quiet. While she stood there with a dumbfounded look on her face and an openly expressed attitude. We decided we would not stay, which not only ruined our evening but our daughters birthday dinner selection. Brian was very apologetic towards the situation. However, we refuse to now or any time in future give our support to a business who allows the “first face” of their establishment to speak and address paying customers in such a manner. We will never return nor suggest this restaurant to...
Read moreMy husband needed a bite to eat, so we were looking for something open late. Sure let’s go to Taco Mac we said. The parking lot looked busy, so we parked away from the entrance so we wouldn’t have to wait to park. There was a line to be seated but clearly lots of seats were right behind the display case at the entrance. We were initially seated on the far side of the restaurant… everyone was crowded into that area. It seemed it was done due to low staffing. We were seated near the restroom and across from the kitchen entrance. I couldn’t think of what I might eat though because of the smell. I asked if he wanted to go somewhere else, but he really needed to eat. I could only think of sewage, but it was different and seemed to be coming from the kitchen entrance, so we moved to the bar. I wouldn’t have been able to eat otherwise. It was too strong at that table to stay there. Awesome staff/service/food, but that smell ended up coming through the bar door, too. Finally someone else said “it smells like budussy!” That was it exactly. Who wants to smell that and eat. Apparently this has been the case for over 24 hours with no resolve.
We asked for a manager to bring it to their attention… maybe they have no sense of smell due to COVID. Who knows why management wouldn’t prioritize finding the source. Anyway… the poor manager on duty could only say that the higher ups are aware and working on a solution. I don’t fault her, but it’s clear that employees have to be politically correct even when there’s a problem. There’s no acceptable reason staff should have to work in that environment or guests should be expected to eat in these conditions. It feels dismissive and disrespectful to staff...
Read moreThe meals here are truly exceptional. In the past few months, this restaurant has been a shameless go-to for my lunches and dinners, and undoubtedly the kitchen never dissatisfies, providing a superb amount of quality and quantity leaving you comfortably stuffed but yearning for more of their flavorful foods.
Here are some of the items I often find myself ordering. Firstly, the Peachtree Burger with pepper jack cheese, beautifully caramelized onions with a side of the most delectable sweet potato fries I have ever tasted— heavenly seasoned and crisped— the sauce being the absolute magic on top and they're not scarce with their toppings either. If taste buds could sing, mine would be shouting!
Secondly, the Grilled Steak Quesadilla is always a hit, never a miss. This is practically bursting with flavor and I relish it. A fine tortilla topped in juicy cheesesteak toppings like peppers and pepper jack cheese. Add some mushrooms to this and sour cream, this meal will be devoured within seconds.
Lastly, the South Street Philly is made with steak or chicken dazzled with some onions and peppers in an incredible and thankfully never a dampish, soggy roll.
However, I only have one grievance. The packaging for the DoorDash orders isn’t to its fullest potential. The meal is placed in a typical ‘Thank You’ bag with no proper sealing to ensure the best safety and delivery for the customers. A recommendation I'd like to make is to have the products placed in a paper bag with additional stickers for the maximum protection to give customers a sense of security...
