If I could give “0” stars to this store, I would! Taking advantage of people during this pandemic is awful, & we also endured a house fire 8 months ago & lots of medical problems in our family! Aren’t we supposed to be a community??? My husband & I purchased a table from this store in Dover, DE on December 10, 2020. We had a house fire in June. So we were not even living at home when it arrived. We just recently moved back home on January 31st after the time was up in the home our insurance company put us up in. So we have maybe used the table for 2 weeks, if that. The table already has awful looking scratches all over the top. We bought this table to replace a beautiful table, that was far cheaper, from IKEA, 20 years ago!
Our fire was in our attic & started from an upstairs bathroom. The main floor didn’t need much work due to the fire. However, we decided to do some things with the entire house. I have my old table from IKEA in my garage & we are about to donate it to Vets. However, I’m sooo disappointed with how our brand new table now looks that I may just use our old table!
When my husband called the store a few minutes ago, they essentially in a round about way said too bad, so sad.... they claim there’s a 30 day warranty for the table, but not for scratches. They should’ve/could’ve told us something to put on the table to protect it when we purchased it, or Something??? My advise to anyone wanting to buy a new table, just go to IKEA! This table was purchased by my husband “Anthony Ditchkus.” If anyone from Urban furniture wants to contact us, please do so to resolve this issue if you even care about your customers! They didn’t give any advise on what we could possibly do to fix these scratches. I’m going to assume they probably should’ve told us to put something on top of the table that would make it scratch resistant??? Our IKEA table never did! It took at least 10 years to get scratches on it, & that was because our kids were toddlers!
One would think that during this time, this store & its employees would be happy to be opened, & happy to have jobs! I know they have been doing very well during this pandemic because of the people that are at home & doing home repairs etc. but the pandemic will not last forever, & for them, they will probably realize they should’ve treated their customers with some dignity & respect, because, who will want to shop at their store when this is all over & they have such poor ratings & awful...
Read moreI absolutely loved my experience with Urban Furniture Outlet. I called them in hopes of finding this particular bed that I wanted. Im in the process of moving and every Furniture store i contacted had it on backorder and their expected eta was 6-8 weeks. So I kept searching and came across UFO. I called them and spoke with Darren. He informed me that they would have the bed by mid May and that he would take down my information to let me know when it arrived. To be honest I was a little disappointed because I didn't think they would have it time before my move. As promised 2 weeks later Darren contacted me and let me know that the bed was in stock and that if I placed my order(Friday) I could come pick it up Tuesday. So with excitement I hurried and placed the order. Like clockwork Darren contacted me the following Tuesday to say my order was ready for pickup. I let mine know I wouldn't be able to get it until the weekend; which he said was totally fine. So Saturday comes and my husband and I drive to Delaware(2 hours) to go get the bed. When we arrived I was greeted by Mark who was very prompt, helpful, and pleasent. Mark was also phenomenal. He gave me instructions on were to pull my car around back. Read moreI have 2 accounts through Urban Furniture the first was delivered which was a bed and a sofa. The sofa was delivered damaged, when I called and explained it was damaged they asked me to send photos so I did. They never reached out to me at all times I had to contact the Dover office. Once I made contact with me they advised that it was a defective product they advised me that they could send some one out to fix it buy drilling additional holes in the Sofa. Have you ever heard such a thing. I advised them no that I wanted it replaced.
The second time we bough a dinning room set and a living room table set again both items were delivered damaged. Again I had to reach out to them and they advised me to send pictures. So I did. They again never reached out to be about the status of the exchange. I have had to call every week to check on the status. I advised them that we are paying for furniture that we do not even have the pleasure to enjoy through Acima Credit. I has been over 4 weeks and we still do not have our furniture. Every week that I call I get a different story as to what is in.
Now they said that once it is delivered to the store we have to make the arrangements to not only pick up out items but bring the damaged product to them, have you ever heard of such a thing.
They are horrible and will never, never use them again and never recommend...
