Dover Inn — Hotel in Dover

Please do not stay here! I would not reccomend this motel to anyone! The rooms are horrendous. The house keeping does not thoroughly clean each room. They did not change the shower curtain that the previous occupants used during their stay. Instead, they closed the shower curtain like it was fresh and hung clean towels and wash clothes over the dirty curtain. That is unsanitary and cross contamination. Next, the fridge was filled with food residue and gnats. How is one supposed to store food in a filthy fridge? In addition, the linen on the bed had stains and burn holes, it made my skin crawl and itch. Very uncomfortable. Even more of an inconvenience, the management/front desk is extremely rude and inconsiderate. When I left my room to get lunch, they deactivated my room key. When I went to the front desk to ask for my key to be reactivated, the manager acted like she did not recognize me and would not activate the room key that she gave me so that I could access the room. The audacity! How could she stand there, look me in my face while I pay for the room and sign the receipt, but turn around deactivate my card, and not allow me to enter the room that I PAID FOR? She also refused to give me a refund and threatened to call the cops on me if I didn't leave the property. I am very disappointed, I can guarantee that you will be as well if you decide...

This is by far the worse hotel I've ever been to. It was let staying in a post-crime scene! There was some kind of red fluid spread on the wall, the lamp shade had a large coffee stain (can't explain how), the floor was filthy, the mattresses sunk down to floor, the bedding should have thrown out years ago. The room was so smoky that I got a terrible headache (not a smoker). The shower was not clean. There was no phone in the room. No one to their clothes off to sleep. There were flies coming in from somewhere.| The second room was fairly clean (non-smoking). The air conditioner was duct taped to wall. The wall paper was coming apart at seams. There was a dirty phone in room. Not working. The coffee maker was in the bathroom!|We deserved to be paid just to stay there! Holiday weekend no other available...
