We were traveling from NJ to NC when we decided to stop for a bite. One of our favorite places to eat is Olive Garden. We were excited to order our favorite dish but as we were seated we started to see that we might have made a mistake coming to this particular restaurant. The restaurants back home are definitely not like this one. We were sitting at our table having normal conversation when we realized that everywhere we looked there was filth. We are not picky people so we pushed through it and tried to give them the benefit of our doubts. I had to use the mens room before our meal so I proceeded to the bathroom. When I walked in the smell hit my nose immediately. I tried to hold my breath and finnish my task but the odor was so strong hit watered my eyes. The smell of urine was terrible. I hurried to rush out of the bathroom and tried to find the manager so I could let him know before more customers were involved. When I spoke with him he was pleasant and said he would have the staff clean it again. I stood around that area waiting on my wife and to my astonishment he directed a member of his staff to go in there and spray air freshener. 😯 As they both came out of the bathroom they started helping other customers. I wish I could say i stayed to see if the bathroom was actually cleaned or not but, I didn't. Our food was at the table. So discussed about everything else I tried to forget about that and eat my meal but there was some brownish black pieces of broccoli that were in my meal. Not sure if they were bad or not but the manager told me it was from the cook. That it was normal. I dont think so sir! My daughter didn't like hers either and so we decided to just leave. We did pay for our meal that we requested but we chalked the restaurant up as a loss. We will never dine there again. We also advise others to proceed with caution. Olive Garden, please help this place clean up. Thank you...

During my recent visit to Dover Olive Garden, I experienced not only exceptional Italian cuisine but also witnessed the true essence of outstanding customer service. I want to share a heartwarming incident that highlights the staff's compassion and helpfulness towards my grandma during an unexpected situation.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, my grandma's car suddenly stopped working, leaving her and my grandpa in a bit of a predicament. Worried about how they would get home, the staff noticed our situation and immediately sprang into action, going above and beyond to ensure my grandparents' comfort and safety.
The staff kindly offered us a place to sit while they tried to find a solution. They made sure my grandma was seated comfortably. The manager, hearing about our situation, the manager helped them with their car trouble himself.
In the meantime, the waitstaff showed incredible empathy, providing us with extra attention and checking in on my grandma regularly.
Despite the unforeseen circumstances, the friendly and helpful atmosphere at Dover Olive Garden turned what could have been a stressful situation (the car company failed to show) into a heartwarming experience. I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care they took in looking after my grandma and ensuring she had a pleasant dining experience amidst the unexpected car trouble.
In conclusion, Dover Olive Garden not only serves delicious Italian dishes but also sets a remarkable example of customer service and empathy. Their willingness to assist my grandma during her car trouble truly touched our hearts, and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking not just great food, but also genuine care and compassion. Kudos to the staff for going the extra mile and creating an unforgettable...
Read moreWent in on 01-17-21 at lunchtime place was not busy , we were seated by a young man who seemed rather preoccupied with talking to the waitresses other then paying attn to the customers, that being my wife and I . Upon being seated we were given 2 paper menus no mention of an electronic option. This is where the fun began , sarcasm , we waited and waited for someone to even acknowledge that we were there . No one ever came to our table the same young dark haired girl walked by our table three times, mind you she was not carrying anything and appeared to be doing nothing what so ever . She never said hi or acknowledged us in any way what so ever . After about 5 mins of being completely ignored we just got up and left , no one acknowledged us as we were leaving either , although my wife did complain to the young man still chatting with the waitresses, he offered an apology as we walked out. The waitress told her to enjoy the rest of her day?!? Not lets get to the bottom of this etc etc. First off ,How long does it take to take a drink order?, anyone there, regardless of your section waitress whom we never seen btw, should be able to start off with a quick hello and a drink order. Very disappointing that all of the young people there seemed to be taking playtime on company time. my money spends just as good anywhere , we ate at Grottos in Dover and were waited on within 2 minutes of sitting down by a very professional waitress. Spent 35 dollars for lunch , Olive Gardens loss, and we tipped...
