First time I came here it was a very pleasant environment. Staff was very nice, welcoming, & funny lol. The pedicure was greatttt! Had no complaints. Now, the 2nd time I came everything was good until they asked me if I had cash for tip? Mind you, I ALWAYSSSSSSSS tip everywhere or anywhere I go. I do not like to carry cash & these nail salons nowadays only do tips in cash… for whatever reason. I always pay with my debit card & they kept asking me if I had cash for tip. Made me feel some type of way. Especially when you’re pressing a customer for a TIP. Tipping is not mandatory. That annoyed me. I let it go. (Thankfully my husband had some cash on him so I didn’t have to pull money out of the ATM for a tip) I decided to not go here anymore. Unfortunately, I ended up going back (my 3rd time) since it’s the closest nail salon to me. When I tell you I probably won’t ever go back again… I asked for a full set. Natural looking because my job doesn’t allow me to wear fake nails or nail polish. Ended up with dip which I know it’s more expensive than a regular acrylic full set with a natural looking gel nail polish. Didn’t ask me if dip was okay beforehand or nothing. He was rushing doing my nails which made me uncomfortable. Anyway, once he was finished he told me a price then switched up the price & kept asking me if I had cash for tip. He asked me at least 3 or 4 times!!!!!! The service sucked & so did my nails. So, make sure you got CASH FOR TIP LOL!!

I just recently moved to the area and was grabbing some Starbucks and saw this nail spot right across the parking lot. As I always do I looked the place up and checked out the rating and recent reviews and figured I give it a try. When you first walk in, the environment is beautiful! So so gorgeous I felt like a queen. Khevin walked right up to me and was so very welcoming! He made sure I felt seen and explained to me how everything worked since it was my first time. I ended up getting the dip color (which was different then the usual gel nail color I typically get). I choose a spring color with a matching sparkly nail. I also got a pedicure by Linda (who is also very wonderful) and eyebrows. Khevin is super sweet and nice and takes really good care of your nails and eyebrows. Linda did an amazing job with my feet as well. I was a bit nervous about my feet since I mainly wear sneakers and closed toed shoes for my job and Linda made me feel comfortable and didn’t judge at all. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I would recommend this place and if your new or maybe want a go-to person, ask for Khevin (manicure or eyebrows) or Linda for your (pedicure needs)Another thing I loved about the place was the decor! From the chandeliers to the fish made of money to the bar to the incense. Top tier! Thanks again for the wonderful service Khevin and hospitality!

Update 11/8/2024: still loving this nail salon! The staff are very nice, always feel welcomed. My husband started coming with me for a pedicure. So relaxing for him and his feet are much healthier with the regular care he receives. They have a cute dog there now that they are very careful to keep away from the customers so that all customers are comfortable. The dog has an area in the back and is very very well cared for and loved by all who work there. I love dogs and wish he could come be with me while I am there but they are protective of the dog so that he does not have any nail dust being breathed in. I saw another review that was completely wrong about the dogs treatment. Also I am still loving the quality of my nails. I get so many compliments on how nice they look. I highly recommend this nail salon!! I am a frequent customer and have been for over a year. I love my nail tech and always have a pleasant experience. When I started going my nails were broken thin and honestly I was a bit embarrassed by them. I regularly maintain my nails now and am very happy with the long term care I receive. Each time has been good and now my nails are real. And I no longer embarrassed by them. I think pricing is reasonable for the results. My thanks to this business!

I have been going here for 2 years now and the last two experiences I had were horrible! First I got a full set of acrylic nails (since mine were starting out really short) with dip powder. The lady who did it rushed soooo bad, when I went home I noticed all my tips were flipping up already from the bottom. Annoyed with how little time I can get out of the house with 3 little kids I just sucked it up and waited the 2 weeks to get them filled. Mind you, this service was $70! After 2 weeks, I came in and got a nasty response that not to worry and they would make it better! They did my nails again and this time we did the dip powder with gel tips (like a French manicure). I told them before i left that my nails felt sticky and they told me it was just because they were freshly done. paid another $60 for this service. A week later, all the french tips started to peel away! I was angry! But again, i cant just always get out of the house, so I waited and expressed my concerns 2 weeks later. This time, I demanded a refund! They told me "Okay, we only make you pay $55 today". I told them absolutely not! I am already down so much money and that you should be ashamed with me walking around showing people that this is the work that you do! I told them since they wont back their work, I would take my business elsewhere and left. AND THAT IS WHAT I DID. I love the new salon I go to now. They are nice and take the time to make sure it is done correctly!

Modern Spa only cares about being FAST and not the quality of their work. They work for tips and it shows by how fast they move from person to person. Just dumping people out to get the next dollar bill!

I would never recommend such a place that doesn't care about the quality of work they do or how much they charge with the half efforts they provide. Shame on this...

Typically I really like this place, but I scheduled my bridal party here thinking they could accommodate all of us. First I was sat the whole way across the room from my party who all got their toes done at the same time while they had me get my nails done, then I sat ALONE getting my toes done while they got their nails done. The pedicure was NOT relaxing as she was removing my SKIN with a nail file trying to remove the previous gel polish. I asked her isn't there a better way to do this?? it hurt!! Over the phone they told me the 10 year olds would be $40, but when I got there the price changed to $45. I think my biggest thing and the reason I will not go back is that the owner, told me I should feel special that I got him. He said "do you know who I am" like I should feel like I am at the feet of Jesus. He kept telling me to look at my nails how amazing they looked and how good he was and how quick he was.. he was over the top searching for compliments. These were my wedding nails.. while they looked pretty at first glance...I left unimpressed. He was so quick and did not pay attention to detail... my cuticles were dry and after he told me to wash my hands I expected oil or lotion.. nope.. my stuff was moved from his station and he had someone else in my seat already. My nails were jagged and kept catching on my vail all day. I have ridges at my cuticle where my hair keeps getting caught, when it should be flush with new growth. He boasted about how fast he was and how he teaches classes however I think maybe he needs to be a student again. not impressed and definitely not going to give someone as arrogant as him...
