This is a very cool place to go and visit! I have many different restaurants and the biggest take is the Hot Pot City restaurant, which is where I'm sure you seeing online somewhere where there is a hot plate in the middle of the table and they bring all your food to raw and you cook it right there at the table. Unlike hibachi where all the food is cooked and performed in front of you, so please don't get that mistaken. They do also have Mochi Donuts, which I hear get there early so you can get all the great flavors that you may want to try. A friend told me she went and all they had left was the black sesame and I guess if you're not used to that it might not necessarily be the donut to try for your first time and only time. The grocery store that they have there is definitely quite something to see and shop. You have never seen so many different types of ramen and rice in your life when you go here I guarantee that haha! If you can try to make it on a weekday when it's not quite so busy so there's more time to look around without it being crowded is what I would recommend. But if you do go on the weekends and just know it is going to be busy and if you are looking to go and eat at Hot Pot City it is first come first serve there are no reservations please note this. The other restaurants that they have, I can't remember the one that I ate at but I wasn't that crazy about the food but those were my taste buds yours may be very different so don't discount. But I will definitely say if you can look up the other restaurants that they have there in order online and go and just pick it up I would recommend that because even on a less busy day I still had to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes to get my food. So imagine what it would be like on a weekend......
They are expanding within with different stores and restaurants so keep an eye out for that. They do have a little mini store then you can get some items out of like a little gift shop or convenience store so something to check out. But I will definitely say the whole experience in end of itself is something to experience. So go have fun another thing in Minnesota...
ย ย ย Read moreWent here for Asian new year, it was PACKED which i figured prior. They had sheriffs directing the parking lot traffic. I was trying to park (like everyone else) and this car was RIGHT on my bumper. A car pulled out of a spot and it was right ahead of me but close for the guy backing up. Definitely my spot. The female sheriff who i assume was hmong based off last name was telling me to go around and pretty much give the spot to the guy RIDING MY YOU KNOW WHAT. I said no im parking, starts to get argumentative. I told her to tell the driver behind me to not ride me. No space to even try to back up. This went of for some time. The parked car finally attempts to back out of the spot and made it even though it was tight for them. Then i parked in the spot WITHOUT EVEN GETTING TO BACK UP. Which tell me i had PLENTY OF SPACE AND RIGHT to park in the spot. The sheriff handled situation horribly and didnt even do the ONE thing they are there for , which is to HELP cars park IN and OUT. Great job at serving the community. Also the way she spoke to me i was more surprised by than anything. I dated a hmong girl from age 18-27 and that kind โ her talking back and having an attitude โ was definitely a HIGE surprise. I have spent YEARS in the hmong community and lived in Hmong homes for YEARS and never had that type of disrespect, sheriff or not that is not how you interact with the public, especially when they go to the ASIAN Mall to shop and SPEND MONEY. I had my asian wife in my car and it was not helping the interaction. Is it because my skin is white?? Because i have been living in ASIAN HOUSEHOLDS FOR 13 years now and im telling you that is VERY Disrespectful. Dont judge based of skin color or race AND GET BETTER AT YOUR JOB. You are a PUBLIC SERVANT.
Anyways parking on Chinese new year is packed and the parking lot can not handle all the cars and traffic....

If you take a left coming out of the mall and walk down the stairs you can see the kitchen staff sitting inside smoking a cigarette. Every time weโve been here there is always someone sitting there smoking. But today the smoke was bad inside the entrance. So Iโm taking off one star for this. It is very unsanitary and isnโt that much work stepping outside to have a smoke.
The Grocery store has a variety of snacks and food but we mainly go for the snacks and buy food at a different Asian grocery store bc everything here is over priced and they donโt have a wide selection of fresh produce. The mochi donuts are the only thing that keeps us coming back to this place every month. The pho next door was not very good. The Hong Kong restaurant on the first floor is good when they are not busy. But when they are busy the food doesnโt taste the same and they donโt season the food very well. The Korean corn dogs upstairs is worth a try and they have bingsu which was good too. The two boba place in this mall seem busy but when we ordered 4 drinks at the one upstairs they didnโt call our number and we waited 30 minutes and then asked them and it was sitting on the counter all warm and the ice melted bc he forgot to tell us it was ready. And when asked about it he yelled at us. The waiter at the restaurant told us he was sorry bc he saw...
