Our Children's Academy — Attraction in Edgewater

Our experience with Our Children's Academy and its staff has been exceptional, and we couldn't be happier with the care and support our children have received since enrolling our first little one in 2021 and second LO in 2023.

The staff has always shown a level of love and care that extends beyond mere professionalism -- it's genuine and heartfelt. With a thoughtfully designed curriculum that combines educational and playful elements, they have undoubtedly contributed to our kids' development.

OCA also actively engages with us parents, creating a supportive network that goes beyond drop-off and pickup. They regularly update us via a secure mobile app about our kids' activities, progress, and milestones so that we always have insight into their daily experiences. The open communication channels and approachability of the staff make us feel involved in our children's early education journey.

What really sets OCA apart though is the joy we consistently witness on our LOs' faces at pickup. Not a single day has passed since they started attending that we haven't been greeted with big smiles and, from our 3-year-old, stories of his day's adventures. This speaks volumes about the positive and engaging environment created by the dedicated staff.

We are so grateful to have found OCA and consider it a true extension of our family. The peace of mind we experience, knowing that our children are not only receiving quality education but also genuine love and care, is priceless. They view their role not just as a job but as a calling to support the growth of every child in their care. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire team for creating a nurturing environment that allows our children to thrive and for being an integral part of their formative years. I wish I could give OCA more stars!!! Our daughter attended for a little more than a year starting at 15 months old. We only left because we had to move away :(

She attended three different age group classes during her time there. All of her teachers provided her excellent care, love and age/developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. The teachers are well experienced, professional, warm and were very communicative with us about our daughter's day to day. Parents are informed about weekly themes which kept us in the loop about what she learned so we could talk about it/re create it at home. Her teachers and the director were very comforting and reassuring to her (and us!) during transition periods such as her very first week and while moving up classes as she got older. As first time parents, that was so important us. My daughter has thrived here in all areas of her growth!

We liked the smaller ratio of teacher:child compared to other daycares/Pre-K in the area. Because of this, most of the teachers and their assistants knew our daughter. They work together with the children like a family and go above and beyond! :)

The director, assistant director and office managers are very welcoming people. They were always very friendly when I would arrive to drop off and pick up my daughter. They are communicative about what's happening at OCA, and know each child enrolled at their center.

A variety of healthy meals and snacks were provided which was a huge plus.

Without a doubt I would highly recommend OCA if you're looking for daycares/pre-k in Edgewater, NJ! Honestly go call them right now and see...

Our experience with Our Children's Academy in Edgewater has been extraordinary. The staff is caring and attentive, creating a safe, nurturing environment where learning and play go hand-in-hand. We appreciate their dedication to developmentally appropriate activities, which has supported our child’s growth beautifully.

The teachers are incredibly personable, and the teacher-to-child ratio is carefully managed, allowing every child to receive exceptional attention. OCA management has done an outstanding job hiring and regularly training the best educators. Over the past two years, we’ve had zero issues with our daughter, her circle of friends, or the teachers, which speaks volumes about the academy’s warm environment.

One of the most cherished aspects for us has been the photos teachers take. They capture special moments with such care, making us feel part of our child’s growth and learning journey. Each picture lets us experience her daily joys and progress, strengthening our connection to her experiences at OCA.

At just 2.5 years of age, our daughter was already learning math, Spanish, dancing sports, and music—something we never expected at this age. The teachers make learning so much fun that it’s natural for the kids to stay engaged and curious. The meals offered at the daycare are also very good.
