Wow. I can’t believe I’d never been here. I just happened to see someone on a local morning show say Q. Cumbers is one of the best places in Edina and I figured I’d have to check it out. The salad bar is seemingly endless. If you like salad, this is a really nice salad bar. They also have their own salads. The turkey wild rice soup is amazing. Right up there with the best chicken wild rice soups I’ve had. If you like chicken wild rice soup, you’ll love this turkey version. Finally, and nobody seems to mention it as far as I have seen, POT ROAST! All you can eat pot roast. They should change their name to P.Roast. The pot roast with garlic mashed potatoes and brown gravy is simply delicious. Their pot roast is at least as good as the pot roast I make, and my recipe is fantastic. But it takes 1 hour prep and 6 hours cook time. Here at Q. Cumbers, you can pay for your meal, then walk over and start eating pot roast and mashed potatoes. Takes about 3-4 MINUTES. It is totally worth the drive, and price, to save myself 6 hours of waiting for pot roast. Literally everything I had to eat here was good. I overstuffed myself, but that’s not really their fault, I lack self control. Did I mention the drinks are included in the price? I will be back. Honestly, I can’t wait to go back. Just writing this is making me hungry for pot roast. Great job Q. Cumbers! Thanks for the great meal!

Great spot! Situated right next to Centennial Lakes and has a twist towards serving healthier portions of food. Starts off with a huge salad bar with so many options to choose from. Leafy lettuce, spinach, romaine, different pasta salads and a big selection of dressings. Too many toppings to mention but something for everyone. Hot bar with a wide variety of selections. For today's menu we had chicken lasagna, meatless pizza, meatballs and marinara sauce, baked chicken, wild rice medley casserole, Mac and cheese, All very tasty and healthy options. Throw in a very fresh fruit station with many choices plus a soup bar and you have a mountain of items for your dining pleasure. Very clean and open space with large windows allowing natural light into the restaurant which gives you a comfortable feel. Service was top notch from the ladies that greet you to those stocking the food stations to team cleaning off tables. Decent shared parking lot just outside the main door. Only negative of the whole trip were the meatballs had large pieces of onion inside. I would like these diced into much smaller pieces if possible. Price was also spot on for all this food, for adults, you're looking at a little over $17 with a small discount for those over 60. Would definitely come back again when in the Twin Cities metro area!

The place is CLEAN! The food is fresh & the employees are sociable, friendly, smiling. The fruit section is B+. If you are there for the salad bar or are a vegan, this is the place to go. "A" grade there. Lot of gluten free options. Top shelf. The entree table is fair...not sure what was going on there. Bland. Pizza was gooey & soggy... tasteless and tasted like dough, but don't go here for the pizza. Soup & dessert options are B+. Breadsticks & rolls were fresh tasting & warm. The people that eat here are polite & exude intelligence & class.Trendy feel. Nice high ceiling -- gives an open airy feeling. Price is fair. Drinks are soda fountain & bottomless. Nice berry water option. They have a senior citizen discount (60 & over) One complaint is bathroom is almost 30 steps away from dining area & mens restrooms are small for the size of the restraunt. Two of the people in our party are handicapped. Doors were opened for guests in wheelchairs. Nice! We go here often & will continue. Located off France in beautiful Edina. This place is an overall A/A-. Good handicapped access. Parking is adequate.

Sharing my experience for those that look at reviews (like me) before going someplace new. I thought the workers were amazing- super friendly and helpful young staff members. Now, the food 👎. The hot bar offered a lot of rice, potatoes and vegetarian options which was a bummer because nothing looked or sounded appetizing. The chicken was dry and the red potatoes with herbs were gross, the herbs tasted almost burnt flavored? The pizza bar was awful. Cold, hard cheese on top and followed with a poor quality taste after one bite. Honestly, worse than school pizza, hands down. The mashed potatoes and gravy was really good as well as the salad bar though. Little disappointed the biggest food selection was a freaking salad bar. I paid $40 for two adults to fill up on a dumb salad bar 😕 because the hot food bar selection was limited, the pizza was trash, as stated above. The whole lay out of the food stations is a giant jumbled mess. The hot bar is cramped into the smallest corner, which is not smart considering thats the most popular. So everyone was bumping into each other and spilling trying to get out of the way when they were finished at that station. Poor design by far for a buffet.... But hey you have a huge @ss double lined salad bar though if you feel like chomping on some salad 🙄. I do love me some salads, eat them every week, many times a week. But if I go to a buffet I don't want a fricken salad bar as my main option. Ice cream bar was ok. Dishes were coming out hot so the ice cream melted right away. Maybe supple cool dishes 🤯? The fruit is DEFINITELY out of season, not sure why you even spend money on it currently. It was all hard with no flavor or super tart if it did have flavor. I wonder if the manager of the place actually try the food because anyone with tastebuds can tell you to stay away from this place if you want good, quality food for that price. Overall, disappointed and won't go back or...

I just read and agree with the complaints in these reviews. Yesterday, Mickey, the owner, was literally furious at me and my children over accidental spilled food. His face was slightly red, big eyed, and scary, in all seriousness. He loudly complained about the spilled food and he was too close for comfort. He had no respect for my children's personal space. I felt scared, I had to calm Mickey down, and keep my kids from being scared. He didn't bother to hear or listen to me, He continued to yell at me like I was a child. Mickey is tall, so he towered over us, an even worse experience for my kids. A worker came over and they both complained and grumbled about us. All of this in front my kids and everyone around us. It was awful, extremely embarrassing and scary. I couldn't eat after that, because I was so shaken. I had my children eat quick and leave after we used the restroom. Before we got up to use the restroom to leave, Sophia, our waitress, was openly irritated of us and for a quick second, tried to look for someone to complain to when having to clean our table. The mess wasn't that bad, I had already cleaned a bit of the mess before she came. She went off picking up the food instead of just sweeping it up, giving herself more work and being upset with us about it infront of others. I honestly hope Mickey doesn't reply back to my review. I'm scared of him and I don't want to hear of his response to this awful, frightening, and embarrassing experience. I'll never go to this restaurant again. My heart is beating fast thinking back on this and I'm slightly shaking writing this experience. I'm saying this in love: please be warn, others have had bad and embarrassing experiences here too, read...

I loved nearly everything I had here at this fresh items buffet. All ingredients are fresh! No cans or boxes. Even the fresh butters are clearly made from scratch. Absolutely the best Pozole soup I’ve ever had. The rice pilaf was not great, but some people prefer bland rice. Fresh breads, wonderful salad bar! I will definitely return! Pay cash and save the cc usage fee. One problem I saw happen 3 times on the hour we were there: the tables are not marked and 2 other couples, including my spouse and I, either sat at someone else’s table, or wandered to find where we were. A simple item, such as a table number or unique image on the sign that is already on the table, would eliminate that hassle. One other room for improvement comment: the intake person did not explain where anything is, what the procedure for using sanitizer and gloves is nor other general instructions even though I told her it was our first time there. A gentleman came rushing over to us after we had dished up a few salad items and said to put on gloves. ( we had o my used the sanitizer and missed the gloves). Do not ever assume that small signage is the best practice. (I didn’t see the signs and my husband speaks other languages). A courtesy would have been to provide needed direction as we were being seated. - Update: returned after several months, and was not as impressed… the pozole was very salty and was just not the same. Other items were also lacking the professional touch as experienced previously. The carrots were half done- half raw, the brisket was dry and even the chocolate chip cookies were doughy and not done. It seems that the chef/s on duty make a big...
