Bassett Place — Attraction in El Paso

I always enjoy visiting this mall. There is a wonderful movie theater inside (Premier Cinemas) which has an I-Max as well as several other screens that accommodate 3D formats. Their selection of food and beverages at the theater is above average, especially on weekends. If nothing at the theater tickles your fancy, there is a Dave and Buster's where you can play games and eat. One of my favorite tea shops (Habit@t) has a store in this mall, where they sell specialty teas and fresh fruit smoothies with a variety of jellies and boba add-ins. There is also a pretzel shop there that makes the entire mall smell heavenly. My spouse likes to shop at the F.Y.E. which carries pop culture items. We also appreciate the Rack Room Shoes at this location; with their buy one get one 50% off deal, we always seem to find shoes we both love. There is a Target in the mall, which is great for a quick shopping trip. They carry stylish plus-size women's clothing (up to 3x 22/24w - and sometimes bigger). They also have good deals on electronics and books (comparable to Wal-Mart). Just outside the main mall area is a Costco, a Ross, a Marshall's, Shoe Carnival, and Dollar tree. There is also a PetCo by the Magruder street side...

My family and I mostly enjoy visiting Bassett Mall.

Today though...not much...

A creepy man stalked and harassed my wife, son, and me. I went to get us food from the food court's Mexican eatery. While I was gone, the creepy man circled my wife and son...like a shark or vulture...around their table.

She glared at him. He sat at a table next to them. He stood up from his table, lunged at her. I arrived, she called for me. The creepy man took off.

He came back, stood near her. He pretended to ask me, in Spanish, where I got our food from. I retorted, The Food court. He said, Ok. He went into the Food Court.

We ate, got up, started walking around. He was not in the Food Court.

We walked around the mall. My wife was mostly mad, a bit scared. She told us to stay close. She reported the creepy man to a mall police officer.

Bassett mall most of time: 4/5 stars. Today: 2/5 stars.

Bassett Mall has had a recent history of creepy men harassing women. The creepy man in the bathrooms. The creepy man in a store. Now...today's creepy man. The bosses must hire more...

We love Costco for many reasons and we always have something good to post regarding their warehouses nation wide. However, today was a different story, 🍀 lucky for those customers that my phone 📱 was left in the truck. Otherwise, I would have put them on blast, for their 3rd world shopping skills. In any event I did refer the matter to the front desk management. . We were going to purchase fruits and vegetables from the produce department, when we witnessed a man switching mangos from 3 different boxes. In order to find the most favorable ones, as if he were across the border at a (Mercado). Then we came across a woman who was doing the very same thing, with 🍓 strawberries. I was very agitated so much so, that we chose not to make our purchase. No one knows where these people hands 👐 have been, let alone any sickness or illnesses they may be carrying. Costco does their best to bring their customers the very best of everything, don't take your poor manners into the store. Pretend you have morals and values...
