Old Republic Distillery Tavern — Attraction in Ephrata Township

As soon as you enter in the doors, you will understand that the owners poured their heart and souls into this establishment. They take pride in the cleanliness and hospitality that the staff provide. The rustic/log cabin feeling you get sets this place apart from any other establishment in the area. The laid back environment provides people with a place to kick back after a long day. I cannot say enough great things about the staff and owners as this is the only place I go to frequently. From events to the outdoor fires, they really paid attention to details. We have eyed this distillery for a while now and boy are we sad we waited this long. The Old Republic Distillery didn't disappoint in the slightest. The bartenders and wait staff were amazing and so friendly! All of our drinks in the group were delicious and the printed pictures on some of the drinks were adorable!! We highly recommend the blueberry moonshine it was a huge hit. We ordered food from the connected Cafe and there was not a single complaint. The food came out quickly and was just as delicious as our drinks all evening. We are definitely planning to return! The old timey speak easy vibes are charming. I loved the exposed wood beams and the bar itself is beautiful. They have indoor or outdoor seating and have weekly events to attend. This is for sure one of our new favorite locations.

Update: 8 months later and many martinis down this is still an amazing place to come for drinks...

I would love to give a great review but we had to leave because we received no service after 15 minutes. We walked in and asked if we could sit outside and order food and drinks. The bartender said yes and we sat outside and waited. After 15 minutes, my wife went back in and asked if the menu was the same or if we had to order from a certain spot. She said it was the same so my wife asked if someone was coming out and then she proceeded to start talking to another guest. One of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had at a place.
