Dutchland Diner — Restaurant in Ephrata

Very dingy, and depressing, claims homemade stuff and it's not.

1. roast beef with stuffing mashed potatoes, homemade bread upon request( they didn't have it said they were out, very doubtful they ran out the place was empty and I doubt it gets full) Carrots in the mush called stuffing, the roast beef looks like it's sat in a water heating table or something it was dry and loaded with fat pieces. The mashed potatoes idk they were watery like they used water and no milk not even sure, gravy was from a can.
2. we got to burgers with bacon. 1 we wanted side of BBQ no mayo, with only 3 ppl in place my granddaughter waited forever for it had to tell her a 3rd for the BBQ . The burgers super well done and flavorless no seasoning my grandson said. Looked dry

My wife and I went to this place under a different owner about six months ago and loved the food and service. The young lady that sat us was not very friendly at all and did not even take our drink order. When the waitress finally come over (about five minutes later) we ordered a fish sandwich and a patty melt. After over 30 minuted of waiting (it was not busy at all) our food finally came and it was terrible. The patty melt was not on the bread that I asked for and it had raw onions and too much sauce along with a tough burger. My wife's fish had more batter than fish and both of out french fries were soggy and raw. I will never go back. The only positive was the waitress's personality. She was a breath of fresh air and just a nice person. We would have sent the food back but did not want to wait...

Food was subpar for the amount of time we waited. The atomosphere seemed to be toxic. The older lady who sat us was not at all pleasant (think she was related to the owner). The only saving grace was a pleasant young waitress ( her name was Ira) . Took forever to get our food and the kitchen seemed to be disorganized - my friends order came out incorrect. There was only 2 other patrons so I am not sure how the cooks were unable to serve the food in a timely fashion. Two burgers and fries shouldn't take 45 minutes to cook with noone else in the restaurant. I certainly wouldm't mind waiting if the food was good. Burgers were dry and the fries were...
