I waited 15 minutes in the freezing cold,(due to capacity) and when I could finally get in, I asked “how does the bag sale work? If I buy a bag and don’t find anything, what happens then?” And the response I got was the worker who was sitting by the door wrinkling her face up at me and responding “well people are finding stuff” and I said again “ok but If I don’t find anything I want, what happens then” and again, rudely made faces at me, looked me up and down and said “you either buy a bag or you don’t”. It was totally unprofessional and uncalled for. I asked a simple question that could’ve been given a simple courteous response such as “if you purchase a bag it’s final sale regardless of how many items you choose”. Super simple! I asked a legitimate question, to if you find absolutely zero items do you still have to pay $40 for a brown paper bag? The answer could have simply been “yes unfortunately” I did not deserve to have faces made at me, my question dogged, and be spoken to in a way that will make me never return. I’m all for small businesses but this crossed a line. I wouldn’t care about the sales rules, had I been spoken to civilly and not had faces made at me for asking a simple legitimate question. It was also pointed out to me on Facebook they had posted the rules somewhere (I didn’t see them), this could’ve been another simple Avenue for kind customer service “unfortunately yeah you have to purchase the bag for $40 even if you don’t find anything, we had posted the rules prior to the sale on Facebook”. Crazy idea though I know, the faces and tone were really the best route for going about this...
Read morePointe Foure Vintage Boutique has quickly become my favorite store. Owner Emily George has created a unique, stylish, and extraordinary boutique. When you walk through the doors, you feel like you are stepping back in time. All the clothing she selects for her boutique was of the highest quality in the era it was produced, and she only selects items that are still immaculate. Last week I bought a 1958 Jackie Kennedy style suit. I have forever been a Jackie O fan and I'm so proud to now own a beautifully tailored Vintage suit that is different and unique. Thank you, Emily, for creating a one of a kind store and for...
Read moreThis place was incredible! I forget the owner's name but she was so nice and so helpful. I love vintage clothing but because of my body type I often won't try things on, assuming it won't fit. She would not let me get away with being self-deprecating, and nudged me to try a few dresses, pulling things from the back that she thought might work for me. I didn't find anything that was right for me but it would be worth a trip back to Erie to visit the store and see what new things they have in stock. If you love vintage clothing and find yourself in Erie, PA, stop by here! You...
