Staff and location were great, and the room was clean. That said, I had a few hangups.
The room was small which is not a problem because I'm just sleeping and getting ready for work. I don't even mind not having a closet. I do mind that there are no shelves/storage for bags or food, no coat hooks to hang up clothes, and not even a shelf in the bathroom to put a toothbrush. I had to put my toiletries on the mini fridge and everything else on the floor and had to throw my nice clothes over a chair.
We came from out of town to work. We splurged on a few very nice dinners and brought the leftovers back so we could take them with us to work a 2 day outside festival. Food truck food isn't sustainable for long term energy or our wallet. We work long hours and it's not always possible to grab dinner as we are with customers all day and by the time we get off, sit down restaurants are closed and we're tired as dirty and just want to relax in our room.
We put our leftovers in the mini fridge. We got ready to eat and the fridge was turned off. About $75 worth of leftovers we're ruined. Steak, roasted chicken, veggies, salad, yogurt, dessert all ruined.
If I'm forking over $200+ a night for world's tiniest room with no storage and a noisy window unit, the mini fridge better work.
Edit: You missed the point of the mini fridge. We had no idea it was turned off. Therefore, we could not contact maintenance during our stay.
It was only after taking our food out to eat it that we realized it was turned off. Yes, it was a mistake, but it was YOUR mistake that cost us $$$.
Not to mention, it is not the job of your guests to ensure YOUR property is...
Read moreBooked a room for 2 nights, we were there for a car event I was photographing. After our first night there, we woke up early the next morning and went to the event we had gone to Estes for. When we returned to our room later that afternoon, the cleaning staff was in our room and all of our stuff was gone! Everything, minus a dual charger I didn't realize until later, was missing!! We had hung the do not disturb sign up as we did not need it to be cleaned while we were there. We went to the front office where we were informed they scheduled a room change and had taken all of our belongings to another room! The room was not as nice as the first room, stains on the floors, fly's everywhere, and furniture pretty beat up. In essence, we felt like we had been down graded... There was no phone call to try to tell us they were moving our stuff, we were not informed and just showed up to everything being moved. I am a photographer, and luckily had taken my gear with me, but had we left just to grab a bite to eat or something, they would have moved some very expensive gear without permission. They touched our toothbrushes, they put our extra shoes in our reusable grocery bags, being used for food we had brought. They wouldn't let me go back into the room to get my dual port outlet charger, instead they gave me a single one to replace it. I have stayed here before and was pretty happy, but I could not believe what they had done during this stay. I guess make sure you will be in the same room for both nights stay, if you are staying more...
Read moreAs much as to be expected for a bargain price. Staff was friendly, room was a little aged and weathered although quite remarkably clean. The bathroom was shiny and spotless as well as the inside of the fridge, not even a single tiny hair in the bottom of the tub. In fact this place was measurably cleaner than most of the 3 to 5 star hotels I've been to. My compliments to the housekeeping. Excellent job. Economy rooms are quite small. The mini-fridge was bigger than expected. No fan in the bathroom. Well stocked for a night or two stay. In the middle of the night, the toilet stopped flushing as if it were clogged even though i had not flushed anything solid or paper down it. No one was at the office at this time, so I notified them in the morning. On the way to checkout I noticed that the caps to the water main under the sidewalk were leaking and a large amount of water was pooling in the back parking lot. Obviously a plumbing issue. Other than that, continental breakfast was limited but decent. It's a cute place really. Homey and inviting. Eating outside on the deck with the decorative waterfall was nice. If you have food allergies or are on a diet, I suggest packing a breakfast or eating out since most of the breakfast food is either whole grain, milk based, or contains nuts, soy, and added sugars. There is also a communal pool, hot-tub and spa as well as a small outdoor play area for the kiddos. But, I tend to stay away from these places due to COVID-19...
