Wow...this place was packed. It was fairly quick to get a table though. I think we only waited about 8-10 minutes.
Service was also pretty quick and friendly.
Food was good....I had the corned beef hash with poached eggs....the CB was tasty and tender...potatoes were good, eggs perfectly poached....wheat toast came out dry...no butter.
My partner had onion and potato hash. He really liked it..the OE eggs were perfect....sourdough toast again dry...no butter.
We had to ask for butter which came out refrigerator cold so speading it on then cold toast didn't work....toast needs to be buttered...
We spoke to the manager and we were told the owner wants to be as vegan as possible....come on...I ordered corned beef....butter my toast....if vegans eat there, a real vegan will remember to say no butter.
Besides the butter my other issue was seat location....being a small place, when it's cold a d windy everyone waiting for tables stayed in side. We were 3rd table from the door so we had butts a d commotion next to the table all meal...also every 30seco ds when the door was opened the cold wind really whipped in.
If you are prone to being cold...make sure you request the big side room.
Mens bathroom is VERY TINY. Not sure a wheelchair could even get in.
Other than the minor issues, it was a good place for breakfast.
I don't get to Estes Park much a d there are other places to try, but I am glad I tried...
Read moreMy husband and I had breakfast here. It's a nice restaurant with plenty of breakfast choices. The food was very good, I got the mexican breakfast and it was spicy and delicious, my husband had the Denver omelet and he enjoyed it, too. We also got the banana bread french toast, it was tasty. The service was awful, just horrible. Our server (Luca) messed up so bad and didn't even acknowledge it. 1. We asked for more coffee, took him at least 20 minutes to bring it and when he poured it, it went on the table and into my husband's breakfast plate! His breakfast was swimming in coffee, then coffee started to drip on my side and got on me. We didn't even have napkins to stop it. 2. My breakfast should have come with tortillas, I didn't get them so I asked for them, it took 25 minutes for me to get them, by then I was done with my food. The server said he wasn't going to charge me for them! What? They were included with my plate but I guess he would have charged me for them. I'm very patient but this was not OK, very disappointed. I wanted to file a complaint against the server but my husband just wanted to leave. Please train your servers, I know they work hard but we got charged full price so I just expect full service from someone who knows what they're doing or at least apologizes and fixes the problem. Again, very good food but...
Read moreCute little cafe and bakery located in a strip mall close to downtown and The Stanley. We were seated immediately. We ordered an orange juice, a large chocolate milk and a chai latte. Drinks were about $5 a piece which I thought was way over priced. I didn’t like their chai latte at all, and I’m a huge chai latte drinker. Chocolate milk was very chocolate-y and that’s the way I love it.
One ordered the breakfast croissant which was around $11, but came with no sides. However it was the perfect amount of food. Also it tasted very good.
The other one order the build your own omelette which came out to about $18 because only three ingredients were included and every extra ingredient was $1.99 each. I got cheddar, onions, bacon, spinach and mushrooms and it was served with home fries and a toast which I choose English muffin. It was good and so much food I couldn’t finish it. However I did not like that the cheese is melted on top of the omelet and not inside of it. The server checked on us right after the kitchen crew put it on the table, so she didn’t really check up on us.
The bill was $50.
We didn’t order it but they do serve alcohol too.
I would try another breakfast place before I came back, however I did...
