I’ve been going to Village Bagels once or twice a week since January. I typically get a bagel with cream cheese and it’s fine.
On my most recent experience I went in - it was very busy - and ran into multiple problems.
First - although it was busy the guy running the register had his back to me and was busy singing and dancing. So I waited.
Second - I got my order to go and took it out to the car. When I unwrapped it I found a very flat bagel with a giant hole in the middle. Most of the cream cheese was coming out of the hole. There wasn’t much of it on the bagel itself.
Third - I took it back in and showed it to the woman with the pink and purple hair. I explained this wasn’t normal and showed it to her. She told me it was like that because of the hole. No apology. No acknowledgement that this was below their standards. Nothing. When I gave her a look she said they would make me a new one.
New one was made quickly and was done correctly. But the attitude and lack of customer service means I’m not coming back.
Apparently they think I should’ve been fine with the original...
Read moreI wandered into Village Bagel from out of town, ten minutes before they closed and then was overwhelmed by the menu which was......well I wanted to try all of it. The gentleman that helped me decide was awesome, sometimes at close you are met with some distain but this guy enthusiastically helped me navigate the menu. I ended up getting a Blueberry Rueben Bagel and my only regret is I'll have to drive 7 hours back to get this again. I love a good Rueben but his had THE BEST flavor of any Reuben I've ever had, the meat was perfect, and the pop of the Blueberry after each bite reminded of that scene in Ratatouille with the food and the fireworks....you know the one. In all seriousness though if you get to Estes Park this place should be pretty high up on your list. I'll be thinking about this sandwich for a...

Down falls are the use of a microwave to heat the bacon back up. I personally don't believe a microwave belongs in a professional kitchen for any reason at all. However they do make everything from scratch and honestly it's great for the price. Their biscuits and gravy are phenomenal at their price point. Actually, those biscuits are ridiculously good; however, last time I went I found some fun little hairs in my food. I would give a 5 if it wasn't for this. They probably work hard and sometimes it happens honestly. I think they probably deserve a 5 star but I'm keeping it true and they...
